When they first started finding these they were like $11 or $14. Now getting close to Knipex prices. Still really nice pliers but wish they were as hot a deal as before.

That is pretty fair. It always seems like a popular item so I thought I would share.

Would love to know where they keep finding these! They seem to keep popping up, and in decent quantities too. There must be crates of them out there someplace...

Price is higher than the 2-pack sold by Sears back in the day. and the package on Woot states "FOREVER WARRANTY". Wonder who will honor the warranty as I got an old one I'd like to replace.

Your local Lowes should, it's where I have taken my stuff as of late.

I was thinking about picking up a couple of these but they are cheaper at Menards currently. I just noticed the Craftsman version don't match the current Knipex. They look more similar to the NWS with the extra little metal on the head.

That's them for sure. But I have a feeling trading CM for those would be some type of special manager exception granted, rather than go grab them off the shelf and exchange. But one can hope...
I'll give it a shot this weekend and report back. Local Lowes carry CM hand tools so something may be possible.

Those are stock images and Woot likely didn't notice the mistake they made. The first image they used is showing the old version of the pliers which used the original Knipex Cobra plier design. The original version has been out of production by Knipex for a long time. It was a little fatter along the top of the upper jaw and the adjustment channel was straight and a bit shorter. When rebranded by "Craftsman" it came with red and black packaging and the pliers usually also had red handle grips. The "current" version has a longer and slightly curved adjustment channel with more notches to pick from and a smaller top jaw shape. It came in white and red packaging from Craftsman and the handles were black with red at the top, like the rest of the Woot images show. If you order these pliers from Woot, you should get the newer/current version pliers, which are a carbon copy of the current Knipex Cobra pliers in terms of shape and operation.

I ordered the last time they came up, can confirm it was the newer version above. I was happy with them, although I think they were a little cheaper when I ordered.

I ran a the tool department at a Lowes for a while. For me if it said Craftsman on it and we had a similar Craftsman item you were happy with I would swap it out for you in a heart beat but some managers are Jerks and will fight it. If it went back for credit and was denied by Craftsman than oh well it the cost of doing business when you take on an item that says lifetime warranty. Most customers I exchange stuff for were walking in with a Craftsman item for the first time. If you take care of their problem they will remember that and hopefully buy their future items from you.
A few times the item they had was better than anything we had like the old CM pro screwdrivers. Had a guy bring one in so I first told him we would swap it for any similar one we had but I offered to call CM warranty line first to see if he could get it from them. They said it was no longer available so he left happy with a regular one.

ETA: If they give you **** just ask for the MOD and if that don't work then tell them you want to talk to the Store Manager or would they rather you cust call in a "CCIC" (Customer care incident complaint if I recall). If that fails you can call the customer complaint number and you will get a call back from one of the store MOD's and by that point they just want to get it resolved in a positive manner. I typically hate to call in and complain but it pisses me off when people don't follow the simple policy the store has because they are on a power trip.

Stopped by the local Lowes for some construction supplies this weekend. Searched the local Lowes along with a Lowes associate that listed 5 Knipex Cobra WP pliers were "in stock". None could be found on the shelves or out of "tool world". Currently the website lists 3 "in stock" so something happened to two of them LOL.

In case you didn't know, the Lowes website shows right where an item should be in the store. Their posted locations have always been very accurate for me, unless the item was a one time only closeout type hot deal with lots of demand. Those items are sometimes hard to find or distributed here and there throughout the store.

On the Lowes site, right under the "Add to cart" green button on the Knipex Cobra item page it should say "free store pickup" and show the aisle number and the location within that aisle if the item is currently in stock at your local Lowes.
