Simple industrial duty vise stand build

This is just my take on a semi brake drum vise stand build. I filled the brake drum with brake rotors I had laying around and then sandwich welded the final two rotors. These two rotors were then welded to two pieces of 2"x2"x3/16" sqaure tube doubled up with a 1/2" top plate welded on as a mounting surface for the vise. All of it sits on top a confetti matt and so far, has very much impressed me. Mounted atop is a Yost ADI-8, vise which has been amazing. Something I found interesting but unverified is the drum is stamped with a date of 1963 and WF1 code. Could this mean Western Forge? Many of my USA made craftsman tools are also WF stamped.

I'm also very curious. I've ordered a cheapo crane scale, I'll get it weighed. The rotors and drum are maybe a few hundred pounds, and the vise is almost 60lbs. I'm guessing around 300lbs total.

Very nice and beefy. Bet it doesn't move around too much at all. Love the looks of that Yost vise too.

I got this thing weighed and was in disbelief. 300lbs. I thought there's no way, so I took apart the setup, recalibrated the scale, and tried again. 300.5lbs. And yes, I did buy some loto tickets this evening lol!
