Record 3VS Referb

Hey all, its been a bit after giving up on a bent Wilton. Finally found another Record to restore, I plan on giving this one to my brother. He wants a yellow vise but im hesitant to paint a record yellow, I guess it will be his so why not. Overall its in great shape, made in England and a great candidate to be cleaned up and continue its service with dignity lol.

I am thinking "dewalt" yellow with blued jaw pads, handle and swivel lock. I will bring the flat section of the static jaw and the slide of the dynamic jaw to a brushed finish. Finally paint all the lettering black.

The original Record label was gold lettering on a blue vise. I’ve thought before that inverting that colour scheme would look pretty cool, and still technically be original Record colours, if not original Record colour scheme...

Remove the rust, wipe the whole thing down with WD-40, done.
