Back in October I sent away a MAC screwdriver I’ve had for decades to get a broken tip replaced. Got this French piece of **** back. Really miss that old square hard handle. Don’t like this one at all. Probably will gift it to my son in law.

Does either the screwdriver or packaging say France?

The paperwork that came with it said made in France. I’ll try to pull it out of the shred bin at work on Monday. If its US made, it is awful. It looks like something made in China 20 years ago.

I really wish I’d have kept my original and just ground down the tip to fix it.

I’m a huge fan and user of MAC tools, but this is really disappointing.

EDIT: I pulled the paperwork out of the shred bin at work. Does not say, but in looking, I remembered where I saw "France", it was on a sticker wrapped around the shaft. Of course I had ripped it off and tossed it, so now cannot prove it. So...not sure if just the shaft part was made in France or the whole thing, but the handle is the disappointing part.

Not new, but new to me. Had a friend turn me onto a machine shop that closed down. The guy was also selling a bunch of wrenches and automotive tools. 0-6 mic set, depth gauge, mill tramming indicators, some big ol Proto SAE wrenches to fill some holes in my set, hole saws, 12pt craftsman USA sockets and a couple DOE vintage 14E30E80-D562-4C39-AC7F-E356BD7D9EEA.jpegA185E54F-0A67-4397-B063-4B10F29FBD77.jpegSnapons just because. Not to mention a few cases of endmills, taps and dies. Mostly USA/Canada made stuff. $400 for the whole lot. Great day!!E1C5CEBE-4F63-47ED-A464-5C8AB58ACA56.jpeg

VetoProPac Tech-MCT tool bag.

I ordered this the other day after trying a few other bags (Klein and clc )from Amazon that I just wasn’t happy with. I’m just a home gamer so it won’t see much heavy use. I’m very happy with the quality.
Did you order directly from Veto or Amazon?

If amazon, make sure the seller is a distributor for Veto and fill out the form on the website to get your free bag.

I ordered directly from Veto 😊. I also got the free promotion bag. Very nice stuff! I also ended up ordering a few parts bags (pb5 and cp4 ) from them.

Lowes/Bosch was giving away free (aka unloading) 2.0Ah batteries and chargers when you buy the bare tool. Picked up a 5" random orbital sander and a jigsaw. I also bought a couple of contractor bags to store them. I've been impressed with their 12v line so far.

I’m going through and cleaning up a bunch of “new to me” tools. I cleaned up at an estate sale a couple weeks ago, and getting these tools unstuck and cleaning off the rust has been giving me some hobby time in the evenings.

the drill bits on the bench are about half of what I got. The rest are in the ultrasonic with EvapoRust. I’ll figure out a day where I will go through them and sharpen what needs it before putting them in service.
I’m pretty excited about it all.

A current sale at Rockler with a free stand motivated me to make a long overdue purchase. Also picked up some dust collection pieces so it doesn’t make a mess. I have several projects in the queue that will put this to good use.

Would you share the link to the pressure washer extension kit? I’m wanting one like that for cleaning gutters and stuff up high.

I also buy WD-40 by the gallon, and put it in squirt bottles. It comes in handy around the farm and shop

Yes, they are! I love the ingenuity
I admire that as well. I don't think I'd do it though. It's not like I have dry corn cobs lying around.

I had several files that "shared" a handle. I had several old screwdrivers with buggered up tips. I took the handles from the screwdrivers and put them on the files.

This commercial came to mind as well

AWD stands for Amazon Warehouse Deals which are generally one time returns, slightly damaged packaging ect.
However there were a bunch of the wands available. I posted a link in this thread a couple weeks ago and I did not purchase a set for myself until a couple days ago. Just one tip around here is $10.

Watch and subscribe to this thread to keep up on AWD

Hmm, posted almost a month ago and were still instock at the $14 price till a few days ago. A local buddy also got a set. There was a bunch...

Not new, but it's new to me! My next restoration project.

Companion Drill Press. Came with a 1/2hp Delco motor that I'm pretty sure was not the factory motor. Took the pulley cover off and I'm seeing 3 colors in paint. White, then light green and then blue, which I assume was the original color.

You are correct, blue is the correct color. Drop this by the craftsman drill press thread! I believe member jocosawdust has this model and has possibly restored it?

Got the 1/4 set about a month ago. Was able to find the 3/8 set sold as open box. Other than oil stains on side of foam this set appears to be new.861DF80F-2080-4F26-9AFA-0004413D0959.jpeg
Ugh WHY!! I thought I had all the 3/8 low profile stuff and then you had to go and post this. If I could even just find the foam tray I would be happy.

Do you find it better/easier to use than the other lights they make?
I have the R8694620 and T8694 work. Here is a picture next to it on. I have a few of the 3 Panel work lights at home I can take a picture with that one too. The only thing that I think is going to be a concern is if it fell the swivel may break. But all in all I like it.

Thanks, the weak link in the swivel may not be for me then. Arthritis makes my hands clumsy sometimes. I have the other one you posted and it's fine under the sink and stuff, garage I have an led droplight that is at least 20 YO and indestructable so far. I'll save my money on that one.
