I stopped using the pre-labeled trays after I realized how much money and space was being wasted buying and storing socket sizes I'll never use. I now use the Harbor Freight magnetic socket rails. Like everything else, they used to be cheaper than they are now, I used to buy them for $16 each. I like that I can cut them to a shorter length if needed, which saves a lot of space in my top drawer. Also the magnets are strong enough to hold the rail in place when removing an individual socket. Really happy with them so far.
That's totally way more reasonable than my situation right now, and I'm sure had I not gone with these trays in the first place I'd probably go that route as well. the bottom line for me is that these trays were cheap, but seemingly well made, and I don't have to exert any effort to get the socket off the rail and onto a tool.

My top drawer is not my favourite in terms of space efficiency by any means, but now I just look at it like a challenge to scour out the elusive 1/4" drive 15mm shallow socket, because, I have pegs to fill! I guess it boils down to "I'd rather have a tool I don't currently need than need a tool I don't currently have."

... Thanks, GJ...

My new daily carry knife with common and phillips screwdriver. Went to see the Red Wings and failed to remember that the walk through xray would cause me to sacrifice my knife. Forty dollar lesson !
I always look for a trash can or a planter outside the stadium or restrictive place and put my knife under it and retrieve it after the event when I return. Was in DC a couple of years ago and had my pocket knife on me. The guard at the library of congress wouldn’t let me in. I said I’ll be right back. Stuck it under a garbage can outside. Another guard saw me and said you can’t do that. I responded that it’s unAmerican to restrict a pocket knife. He shook his head laughed and grinned. My pocket knife was there after the tour.

That didn’t work out for me. I went to the Hoover dam for a tour and had to hide my pocket knife (Spyderco PM2) under the garbage can. Came back after the damn dam tour and my Spyderco was gone……👎🏻. Bastards, like I was going to sabotage the damn dam with my pocket knife.

Picked this up over the weekend and finally had some time yesterday to get it set up. Now I need to source some wood for another bench project for my wife and put this tool to work.

That's a pretty hefty dust collection setup. I assume that is custom?

Couple extras, can’t beat the husky calipers, for 30$ they work great. Wanted to get a set of these bars, kept forgetting to order them, nice you can strike them and not wreck the handle.

It might have been the hundreds of people that saw you put it there.

Yes. Since I don't have a real dust collector yet, borrowed this idea from the Rockler site using a couple elbows, center adapter for support and small dust collector bag.
