I swapped the brake lines on my bike over to braided. As I was bleeding them, I watched them expand and contract (Earl's if I remember right). I never see that, even with chain store brand production style lines. Nope, never going to use braided again.

As for working inside, been messing with the Muv-All trailer this morning, have to figure out the landing gear, the guys have been taking the damaged deck pieces up, the under structure is less than stellar, we are going to give it a structural upgrade. They have a bunch of the D-rings welded on, still more to go, but looking nice. My new rims are MIA and that bothers me a bit, tire place can't give me a timeframe yet. :(

I had to stop in at the Salvage Garage, unloaded a few things and grabbed the landing gear I bought for the step deck extendable trailer, might have to use them on the Muv-All with a few modifications of course.

If they had done some extra welding, it probably would have been fine, but the angle irons weren’t doing anything really, not while they were notched out like that.

On a good note, the landing gear appears to be the same size, even after the dimensional drawings showed them to be different, might be that the place I bought them from had the part numbers mixed up, I don’t care, they will work without much modification.

The D-Rings are 1” and made in the USA, I think there will be about 40 of them in various places when we get done. The ones you saw were loose, they get welded in the corner of the I-Beam frame of the trailer, then when they flip up to use and flip back down to store out of the way.

Technically the trailer can haul close to 100k with the proper truck and weight distribution, but that would be with a serious truck, it is realistically good for 70k, but I won’t be hauling more than 30k on the trailer.

The smaller 1 ton cranks over, so at least it isn’t locked up. I was curious and figured it would drive me nuts if I didn’t try. It needs some batteries and a few intake bolts before I can really see what is going on. Of course the drilled out ignition isn’t exactly the best sign either.

I had to get another set of landing gear, one to replace the set that is now going to be used on the Muv-All, when I was at the trailer place, they had some aluminum boxes out back, various shapes sizes and conditions, I bought them all for cheap money, a few are really nice and worth more than I paid for the entire lot, just have to pick them up, that’s all.

I am also going to grab the H2 Hummer wheels, I need to see if they will fit the Blue Burb or if I just had high hopes. Anyways, lots of stupid stuff going on, almost none of it is working towards my goal of getting things ready for the auction. ;)

Now we have an issue with the plasma table, I don’t have a green plug, I am supposed to have a green plug, well apparently the previous owner forgot to send the green plug with the table, he has located it and is sending it to me. I was about to lose it if another plasma cutter wasn’t going to work on this table.

How much did that tractor weigh? I have hauled some things with my Burbs, but that looks like it takes the cake. I think I had about 16k behind one, with brakes, and probably 9k without brakes.

Got the bracket I need off the old landing gear, the actual jack will get a quick install on the tilt trailer before it heads to the auction. Going to try and get the new landing gear back on the Muv-All tomorrow, then I need to figure out the linkage so I can add a crank handle on the driver’s side as well as passenger’s side.

I also unloaded the dump trailer, those pallets are going to be great for the outside stuff, they kind of **** for inside, you can’t get a pallet jack into them. I think I have another five at the Hill in the Quonset hut too.

I don't remember exactly, but is seem to remember that I was about 27k pounds across the scale. The trailer had brakes, but is was still risky. I used every back road I know.

That would make me nervous for sure, I thought I was bad weighing in at 24k. I did actually drive 2.5 hours on the highway like that, still got 10.5 MPG doing 60 ish.

It is cold and windy out, when I left the house it was 18 degrees. I picked up some hardware for the landing gear, then went and got the first three boxes, two of them were essentially new, but the mechanics that removed them scratched them up a bit, no big deal as they are ridiculously expensive, so I got myself a great deal. I am about to hook up to the dump trailer to go and get the rest of them. Some will probably be junk in comparison, but there will be a few good ones.

I also talked to a company that will evacuate and tag AC units, I have a couple of them that need to be done before I can scrap them, they are cheap and local to me, won’t deal with that until later in the month, just excited that I found a place that does it.

Not sure yet, they were cheap enough that I can sit on them for a bit. I got the rest of them, some are pretty bad, but still worth something. I think pulling the brackets off them, then cleaning up any rust would make them look a lot better. I can provide brackets if someone wants them, but they are generally specific to the trailer brand and I don’t know what came from where.

We are also upgrading to 3/8” plate instead of 1/4” probably could have done 5/16” and been fine, I don’t really want to have to do it again.

My Brother took three boxes and left me an aluminum cabinet, I think I can cut it apart and make a couple storage lockers using the doors and frames, it is an outside cabinet, so it is weather tight. He may want a couple more boxes, but not sure yet. There are three that I am keeping, whatever he doesn’t want is going as is to the auction.

Tomorrow morning is supposed to be really cold, so I am going to drag out the black deck over trailer, it was too muddy the other day. Then I am going to try and shoot over to the Salvage Garage and move a couple other trailers around. I need to prep two trailers for the auction and that will get me started.

I am home early and I am going to bed early, the last week or so is really catching up with me. Today has been so windy making it feel even colder than it is. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold in the morning, then warm up to the 40s, then the next few days look like overnight lows in the 30s, but daytime temps in the 50s, should be a huge improvement in morale...

Strouty. what the heck is the clock spring? My truck doesn't have air bags so need to worry for me. Seems like your burb list keeps getting longer :mad:
