Bought this Norbar torque wrench at Amazon Global Store 3 months ago, for $108. It came with a very informative calibration certificate. Accuracy out of the box is greatly superior to the 2 flex-head PI split beams I bought around a year ago.

I got fed up with my cheap riveter a while ago and found this Bahco in a local store for $35. Picked up a spare bottle opener while I was there (sealey are a UK company selling Chinese stuff, kinda like harbour freight except they are a brand not stores. Their Premier range is pretty good, lifetime warranty, well finished and generally very very tough).

I have the exact same swiveling head rivet gun. It is made by Bahco for MAC (or Matco) I can't remember whether mine is MAC or Matco but I've had it for close to 30 years and it is a high quality rivet gun. You will like it for sure.

Snappy Wednesday.

Didn't need it, bought it anyway. He took $40 off, and I got a ticket for the GP race in Long Beach next weekend.

The little bag of candy it came with didn't really have any taste to it which was kinda weird. :dunno:

That’s a really useful little set, I tend to use it most for interior work where you don’t know what size socket/bit you need, because it’s small enough to balance on the dash and if you knock it over the sockets stay in place.

Add a 1/4 hex bit holder so you can use the bits on the extension.

Some new DeWalt brushless, saw, drills and impact driver. Wanted to try the new power stack batteries see how they hold up. I like that they’re 20 volt and feel as light as the 12 volt.

Will put them through the test and see if they’re worth it. I made a few cuts and drove some 3” screws but not enough to really test them.

The big difference in the brushless saw it’s almost 2 lbs lighter without battery, so with the power stack battery vs a regular the whole set up will be almost 2 1/2lbs lighter, big difference. The brushless motor is notably smaller.

Fedex forgot a box,he had to come back, lol. A couple more tough system boxes, 2 years using them and love ‘em. Milwaukee messed up by not designing a racking system, it is so much more convenient to take out a box without removing another one.

New tools for me this morning I made fluid transfer pumps out of a couple $10 one gal pump sprayers, some 1/4" ID tubing and a couple 3/8 PEX ball valves. It's time to change the transmission, transfer case and differential fluids again. The fill plugs on my trans and transfer are very difficult to reach and the last time I did this was with one of those pump siphon things Napa, Autozone, O'Reilly's all stock and boy did I ever make a mess with it. Threw that thing away the same day and swore never again. Got 2 of these made for under $40 instead of springing the $80 and up they want for similar version from Motive or OEMTools, etc.DIY-Oil-Transfer-Pumps.jpg

Snap-on Thursday today. My favorite day of the week other than Friday lol 😂. You know I have to have my socks. Everyone can’t understand the draw to them but if you have ever worn them you know how good they are. Also got a multimeter. I’ve been wanting one and they were on sale so I went ahead and got one. He had some more digital type ones but I haven’t ever used one like that so while I’m still a rookie at electrical stuff I chose to get this one and the guy who I do a lot of electrical stuff with has the same one so he is going to help me out with it as I’m learning more electrical as it’s the one area I am working on improving. Then two warranty screwdrivers. The one that looks new is new he ordered a replacement handle and the tip was messed up too so he replaced it. I was a little nervous of how hard he was hitting it since it was a new handle but it went on fine after some persuasion. Then the other screwdriver I got from eBay the tip was ground down on it so he replaced that for me with no hassle which I appreciate. He ordered the two hex bits I needed replaced as he doesn’t stock SAE hex bit replacements on the truck. I guess that’s understandable but I do appreciate him taking care of it as he really doesn’t have too, that’s why I give him my business.

If that multimeter is for work, try to return it and get CAT III, futureproof to work on HV electric cars.

That's Great! I love what you've done. What did you use for the delivery bent nozzle? Thanks for sharing

It was just a piece of stainless pipe I had laying around that I had scavenged from something at some point but I'm not sure where I got it TBH. I just went through the garage looking for something suitable and stumbled upon it. Used a cheapie tubing bender on them and they're not pretty but should work. I also added some end caps from an assortment I've had to hopefully keep them from making a mess while stored for next use. I'm hoping the hook ends keep me from having to hold the hose in place the whole time I'm pumping 12 qts + in the trans. Trying to do it last time with one of these made me doubt every decision I'd ever made in life up until that point.

Screenshot 2022-03-31 at 22-02-49 Amazon.com oil transfer pump.png <- Do not recommend, even if it's free. Try to keep your oil bottle upright with one hand, and two hands to use the pump and your other hand to keep the stiff hose in the fill plug, and realize you're two hands too short, all while laying underneath a truck and you've got 11 more qts to pump after this one. Life's too short for this nonsense.

Some more dewalt, atomic compact saw with another power stack battery. Right off it feels lighter and more compact than the 12 volt Milwaukee. The weight is right in line with your arm, the Milwaukee is like a counter weight and feels much heavier, plus dewalt is 20 volt.
