It was just a piece of stainless pipe I had laying around that I had scavenged from something at some point but I'm not sure where I got it TBH. I just went through the garage looking for something suitable and stumbled upon it. Used a cheapie tubing bender on them and they're not pretty but should work. I also added some end caps from an assortment I've had to hopefully keep them from making a mess while stored for next use. I'm hoping the hook ends keep me from having to hold the hose in place the whole time I'm pumping 12 qts + in the trans. Trying to do it last time with one of these made me doubt every decision I'd ever made in life up until that point.

Screenshot 2022-03-31 at 22-02-49 Amazon.com oil transfer pump.png <- Do not recommend, even if it's free. Try to keep your oil bottle upright with one hand, and two hands to use the pump and your other hand to keep the stiff hose in the fill plug, and realize you're two hands too short, all while laying underneath a truck and you've got 11 more qts to pump after this one. Life's too short for this nonsense.
Thanks for the response. I have been there with that HF transfer pump, never again after one use.

15 & 16 blue point reversible locking flex head box wrench1216D9A8-09FB-46BD-A169-89DBA06D1A30.jpeg

Is the part # for that seam ripper SGTT4B? I keep forgetting to ask my dealer about it, but the Snap On website still shows the older style handle for that tool and the only Instinct handle version I see is in a set. I was curious if they just need to update the picture.

Beginning of the month is usually spent running the wife around. So while she was grocery shopping I went to Harbor Freight, our store finally received the 1/4 flex head bit ratchet set. So I decided to take one home with me. This is the HF photo, I for to get mine out of the car. It looks eerily like the Facom and USG Set. Possibly made in the same Taiwanese factory.

I don't work on airplanes, but I'm always having to cut down 8-32 stainless screws for various thickness transmission filter extensions. So figured I'll give this critter a try as cutting stainless is kind of a pain with a cutoff wheel.

And secondly, got this crimper for solid rivets when replacing the neutral/safety/backup insulator on Chrysler torqueflite transmissions. The replacement insulator comes with a crummy pop rivet. The oem used an 1/8" solid rivet.

Stuff for oil change on the Harley. D014A9E0-E27F-40B4-BF2A-F271658D141D.jpeg
I've had that Ernst funnel for a few years now. Works fantastic on Evo's and *******'s. Not sure about the other engines. I no longer use that clumsy filter socket though. I switched to K&N filters with the hex head molded into the cup. Superior filter to the original plus a whole lot easier to remove/install.

I had never heard of Ernst before the oil funnel discovery.

I had this on a wish list for a while and when I saw it for $145 this morning I grabbed it. In the not so distant future we'll be moving and I plan on doing a few projects which this will come in handy. Makita AN924 21º Full Round Head 3-1/2" Framing Nailer.

Nice! I've had my eye on that ever since I found out it looks identical to the USAG/Facom. Just waiting patiently for the next Icon or no exclusion sale to go pick it up.

It's similar to the FACOM/USAG set but, there are differences. It's not a direct rebadge. The Icon bit ratchet is shorter and fewer grooves. The box is also different.

Is there a stop of some sort that prevents the bits from pushing through the ratchet? In other words can you apply down force without using your thumb to prevent the bit from popping out the back?

Thanks

Got a Williams 31924 1/4"-1" socket set for in my race trailer. Amazon had an open-box set for thirty bucks.

Not near as nice as domestic Williams but they'll work and not feel bad when they get lost at the track. (domestic left)

Thanks for the info. For 1/2 the price of the USAG & if the Icon ratchet is decent, those differences won't bother me. If I do end up getting the HF one it will be my first Icon tool (not that I'm looking forward to buying Icon stuff). I don't need another bit ratchet but the set w/ case looks like it may be handy to keep in the truck. Not in a big rush to get it but if I ever catch the next sale....

The head/bit socket looks similiar to my Wera and some other bit ratchets. There is a lip that prevents the hex bit from passing all the way through, well the hole is not large enough for a hex bit to fit through.

I'm pretty sure all the other similar bit ratchets are like this. It would be very annoying if there wasn't any sort of stop to prevent the bit from passing though.

The bits don’t push through the back. The extension has a side that’s ground so it can pass through the ratchet head. The handle has a magnetic 1/4 hex that allows you to use it with a bit or the extension.
I used it today, and I’m very impressed with it.
