Recently bought a cheap throwaway 3/4 socket set and found out it had a Cornwell har-5 ratchet mixed in when I got home. Unfortunately it's just the head but I'm looking at trying to hunt down a dealer, one was spotted an hour away from me last month, and buy a bar. As far as I know the bar is compatible regardless of age. Also not sure on the pin or screw to hold the handle on. I'd like to get a rebuild kit too since I believe it's an older ratchet, it has the spanner screw plate instead of a spring clip which I'm not completely sure they use on the 3/4 drive in the first place. Hoping someone on here might know more about them and if the rebuild kit works in older units.

I'm about an hour south of Indy but I've seen people talk about dealers shipping stuff if it's out of their way so I'll let you know if I can't find a dealer closer. Ideally I want to see about having the ratchet checked out if I can't get it opened myself before I order the handle so I don't have much invested if it's worn down and can't be rebuilt.I don't know where you're at in Indiana ,but there is a good dealer between Ft. Wayne and Decatur, I could pm his number to you.
Found a useful tip that worked pretty good for disassembly. I don't have a pin spanner that fits the collar/front plate but I had two 3/16 punches which match the holes and a vice. Put the punches in the holes to align them and clamped them down then twisted the ratchet and the plate came loose. Not ideal for reassembly but it's functional. Plate looks to take a 3/16 pin 1-1/2 inch spanner.
Also my ratchet was completely dry except for maybe a thin coat of oil, ran some oil around the collar before disassembly but with it's condition it's likely to have had some in it already, and doesn't appear to have been used before either. No rust showing through the chrome or chrome wear, no damage to the bluing on the gear or pawl, and no damage or wear to the teeth. Only defect is a scratch down the side of the interior that's been chromed over so it happened during manufacturing. Wish I could date code it and see how well it's actually fared for it's age but as far as I know that's a well kept Cornwell secret.
