I'm installing a dedicated circuit for my welder. The welder needs a standard 6-50R receptacle.
I read a topic from 7 years ago with similar circumstances. There seem to be two answers, so I'm looking for guidance on what is best.
The welder draws fewer than 30 amps. Strictly a nice-to-have if a bigger welder could be accommodated in the future.
I ran #10 in a conduit, and there will only be the one receptacle for a welder. The duty cycle of the welder is something like 60% at 200 amps.
Do I use a 50 amp or 30 amp breaker?
