A few weeks back I won a Greenlee #346 contractors bandsaw. Paid $50 for it. I had intended to resell this saw after a good cleaning and servicing. But after I finished and saw some YouTube videos on it, I found that it is truly a diamond in the rough. The saw is heavy. Cuts like a dream. Tires, drive belt, blade, bearings, etc all good. All I did to service it was flush out the gear box, replace the seals in the hydraulic head feed and lubricate other moving components. I like it because it's portable, takes little space and is versatile with the horiz/vert cut positions multi speed pulleys.
Now that it's running, I plan to fabricate a table to clamp on for vertical cutting, like the last picture shows. I also plan to fabricate extensions for holding long stock and a safety guard for the drive end. After all that's done, it'll be completely repainted.
This saw was manufactured in the early 1970s. Cut capacity: 6" round stock or 6" x 11" rectangle stock. These saws also are branded Tester and maybe other brands.
