Not sure if you guys remember this one. My house is built in 2018 and about a year in, I started losing an AFCI/GFCI Eaton breaker every few weeks. About 10 neighbors also had this problem. I had the power company out and they spent about an hour here and could find nothing wrong.

I emailed Eaton, I called them, I posted on their Facebook page. They did not respond to anything, their approach was to completely just ignore me.

I was pissed, but eventually I just moved on.

Well, a neighbor, who was more persistent than me, just stayed on them. Last week he shared a number to call - which I did.

Long story short, I told them how many I had already replaced, how many had not gone bad yet, the guy added those 2 numbers together and that's how many breakers they just sent me!

It's been a hot minute, almost 2 years, and I have out-of-pocketed a few hundred on this, but now I at least have enough breakers to replace every one once again ....

What's the number you called and why is Eaton having a problem that they must have owned up to by them sending you new ones?
The number I called was 877-386-2273 and all I can speculate is that they produced a bad batch of breakers, tried to hide it for a while but the problem became too big to contain so now they are just trying to make people as happy as they can.
