I picked up a Stanley/North Bros 133h Handyman spiral ratcheting screw. Got everything apart and cleaned. Except the flathead bit is stuck in the chuck. The collar pulls down all the way and I can wiggle/twist the bit some but it won’t disengage.
I have it soaking in mineral spirits at the moment. I tried heating the bit with a lighter. I sprayed 3-in-1 oil and penetrating oil into the chuck. I also tapped it lightly with a hammer. And of course, I pulled on the bit a bunch when the collar was pulled down.
Any other suggestions before I cut off the bit and drill it out? I don’t know exactly what’s going on inside the chuck so it is a bit hard to troubleshoot.
