Literally after I posted this they picked it up and the table came apart which was fixable. Then they broke the drill and the handle on it no longer functions. Would not recommend.
Might be time to add the word ”warranty” to the four year olds vocabulary.

There was a recent Knipex VDE promo set locally of the following for 69eur, which I missed.
vde set.jpg

So I decided to up my game; only the needle nose is the same with the above set.

74 06 200 Knipex High leverage cut 200mm, this theoretically can chew through steel nails. The set above has the standard 70 06 160mm cutter.
02 06 200 Knipex High Leverage combination pliers, this can also chew through steel wire. The set has a standard 03 06 180mm combi pliers.
26 16 200 Needle nose pliers 200mm.

A thin adjustable wrench from Irega, Made in Spain. Wanted a similar Bahco one but the shop didn't have it, Irega is also a good brand. Opens to 40mm

Some extra bits. Liquid teflon sealant, some very comfortable eye protection and 2 sets of work gloves (I need Medium sized gloves :sneaky: )IMG_9491 (Edited).JPG
I have that thin wrench under the Chanellock name, made in Spain most likely made by the same company Irega. Thanks for sharing

Snap-on Thursday today. Picked up a Streamlight Stinger. It has two chargers and two batteries with it. In blue of course the best color lol. Then I was excited to see the power blue snap ring pliers 12 piece had arrived. He had that color and red and red is so basic lol so I got blue. They were on sale so that was even better. I walked back in the shop with them and the boss is like man I send you away for 20 minutes and you come back with hundreds of dollars worth of stuff and I was like yeah lol you know I ain’t leaving that truck empty handed. I consider the pliers needs as I’ve never had a good pair and when you deal with snap rings you need a good set. I wanted the 12 piece so I’m prepared for any snap ring. The flashlight is awesome too I know several guys that have it.

My spiffy 25-250ft/lb torque wrench arrived after it's two day nationwide tour at the hands of Amazon (Wa -> Ky -> Ca). It's a big fucker. This concludes my recent splurge except for a book about RR Merlins.

I know you just got it, but do these have a reputation for being good torque wrenches? I'm in the market for one, but don't really need a CDI quality.

Tekton 1/2 drive impact allen bit sockets

Had to borrow some bigger sizes I don't have from coworker recently for a rear control arm on a charger and to disconnect a front strut on a benz to replace the lower forward arm.

Rarely needed so I went for a cheaper option. Probably don't need the standard sizes but figured why not get the full set, and I get the case instead of finding room for another socket rail in the top drawer

IR 119MAX hit my price alert so I bought it from Amazon for $125. Ordering some air hammer bits from the Mac guy and found these (VIM AH100) on his truck collecting dust so he cut me a good deal on them.

First off, got me another Craftsman #5246 little baby 3" vise (3" wide jaws, opens 2-1/2"). New to me one is on the right. The one on the left I've had for a looong time now and I still use it all the time since it quickly mounts to whatever table or bench I'm using. When I saw a much better condition one for $20 I couldn't resist.

And I just got in a few things from Lisle. Got the scraper eveyone else has been getting and a 100-pack of blades for it and I got a little magnetic set of helping hands for soldering in place under the hood or under the vehicle, etc.

Lisle Scraper Blades and Magnetic Soldering Mini Helping Hands.jpg

And lastly I recently went down a youtube rabbithole and found out I've been washing and waxing our vehicles all wrong. Turns out I have to use a dual action orbital polisher. lol. Did a bit of shopping around looking for something decent but not wanting to spend a fortune and settled on the Chemical Guys Torq and a bunch of pads for it. Not pictured I also got a host of other related products like a clay bar kit and compounds and polishes and gallons of degreaser and ONR and various different types of microfibers and so on.

That solder holder is a lifesaver! It takes a lot of the aggravation out of the job and is handy because it is magnetic so you can use it inside doors or engine bays easily

Yeah I considered HFs models too but there's many YT videos discussing how they compare to others and mods to make them work better and by the time you crack it open and repack the head with a better grease and then switch out the 6" backing plate for a 5" to make it not vibrate so bad and more comparable to other models (and possibly voiding the warranty in the process) well then you've spent more that I did on the Torq. IIRC chemicalguys had 20% off first purchase code and the Torq was $130 so with 20% off + free shipping it was about the same anywho.

got this side cabinet, and got it assembled 90% of the way. 0 complaints for the price plus it frees up a lot of space on my bench

Had my eye on that too and almost pulled the trigger but It cost more than I wanted to spend to start with and add the fact it comes with a 6" plate and I wanted a 5" (after all the YT videos convinced me that was better) then the added cost of that just put it over what I wanted to spend. If I could have talked myself into spending nearly twice as much or more on just the polisher that's the one I would have gotten or perhaps the G15 or G21,... lolol. By the time I started pricing compounds and polishes and pads and clay and glass cleaners and... I just want to keep our vehicles looking good. I'm definitely not trying to go into detailing cars as a side gig. Groit's Garage products look to be better quality and definitely have a better warranty though. If you wind up getting any of their polishers I'll be jealous. 😛

I have everything else & it turns out I have a couple of 5in plates for the PC 7424.

Really cool it can be used as a standalone unit.

20% right now, so $20 vs $35 for the Knipex.
More like $32 (or $30 if you’re an Inside Track Club member).

Speaking of ITC, used the coupon to get 25% off some Icon long ball hex sockets and 3/8” deep & shallow SAE sockets. I’ve been switching over my chrome sockets to Icon as deals come up, so far so good.

I went to HF today because I was close and I had gotten an email with coupons. I got Doyle Electricians multi-purpose pliers, ear muffs, and a box of 7 mm nitrile gloves. I had been eyeing the pliers for a while, but didn't want to spend $24.99 for them. With the coupon, they were $19.99.

The ear muffs were $7.99 and listed on the receipt as a 'promotion'.

Screen shots of the coupons, for those who may not have gotten them. The remaining coupon in following post.
