Has anyone tried these out yet? They look similar to the Mac/Proto RBRT stuff but cheaper and most likely imported. I’m curious about them, but don’t want to spend money without going hands on with them first.

If you are talking about this

I have a set from Titan and they have been helpful for extracting seized and broken screws on a fan armature.

They do look somewhat similar to and make the same claims of purpose to Mac/Proto RBRT (Rounded Bolt Removal Technology) hex sockets. Not exact copies though.

No idea how well they might work or not on a rounded out allen-head fastener. At about half the price for about twice as many bits it might be worth considering especially since SBD owns Proto and Craftsman. Hopefully someone here has some experience with them.

The RBRT bits are made in Taiwan as are the Craftsman V series bits. I don't think the Proto or Craftsman are exactly the same as the RBRT series from MAC. The RBRT has its RBRT technology on all six sides of the bit but, the Craftsman/Protos are only on two side of the bit. I'm waiting for a decent coupon from Ace hardware to try a set of the Craftsman V Series bits.

The Dewalt bits look similar to the Craftsman bits. Acme Tools sell the 3/8 drive 6pc metric set for $50.

The Proto RBRT bits are six sided.

The Proto 8pc 1/4 drive metric bit set is currently $86 (25% off list) at Zoro
