McCulloch 1385 showed up. Comes with all sorts of attachable gizmo's. The bag for all that **** is laughably cheap, gonna find a box for it all.

LOL, I just had the exact same thing arrive this afternoon.
I didn't even try to pull it out the box yet.

OK I opened the box thinking I might try to put it together tonight, and this is as far as I got. Nope. Maybe tomorrow. lol

New tools today. Slack adjuster tools. Need those for my dads truck adjusting the slack adjusters. Probably could of gotten them somewhere else cheaper but he had them and rarely does so I figured I’d get them now. Replacement 13mm socket and a pocket Phillips head screwdriver. Replacement 7 inch straight jaw locking pliers. Mine the chrome started peeling on the third use. Was somewhat disappointed about that. Hopefully won’t have the issue again. I’ll put a picture of the pair before too.
Nice tools! What is this slack adjustment procedure you speak of? Valve adjustment?

It’s for the brake slack adjusters on semi trucks. It’s basically what spreads the brake shoes apart on air brake systems. If you don’t have automatically adjusting ones you have to adjust them manually and that’s what these tools are for. You could also use a 5/16 wrench and flat head screwdriver which is how we have been doing it but this is GJ and I need these tools lol 😂.

I'm finally replacing the old clear handle Craftsman screwdriver set I was given when I first started wrenching at home. The flatheads are Proto Duratek and the "Phillips" are Vessel JIS. I've actually had the smaller of the 3 Vessel Impactas for a few months and absolutely love it.

I also fed the Snapon truck for the first time in a while, got some angle cutters.

Say no more. We don’t need much of a reason to buy new tools on gj 😂

I have one. I had to fix the mop head attachment. No steam coming from it. The hose was disconnected in the mop head. Other than that it has been a great unit.

Ya just have to attach the handle to the machine, wrap the powercord around the two hooks on the back & coil the steam hose . everything else is loose. Ya gonna need a box...

If those clear handles need a new home, let me know!

Yes I believe that is some pitting. Honestly I didn’t know till you pointed it out. I’ll have to look at mine tomorrow as well. Possibly just a reflection too but it sure does look like pitting.
Looking at my pairs they look the same, I just had not looked at them that closely. Should be normal.

So as I was putting the wife's tool kit together last night, I had mine on the work table for comparison. I noticed no small chisel, punch or magnetic pick up tool. I also added a small pair of Channelocks to my tool bag .KIMG1859.JPG

Not all my rings fit on the rings I have, so I picked up a couple of sets from HF. Since my tool bag is getting full, i decided to try an Apache case from HF. This is the 2800 model and will fit behind the rear seat. Also had a coupon for the gloves, $5.99 box.KIMG1860.JPG

Screen shot of the coupon if anyone wants it.Screenshot_20220516-214444.png

First off, my new little Wilton showed up.

Wilton 450P Vise.jpg

Then, got a package of miscellaneous tools from a Classifieds purchase from matt_m (thanks!).
First was a Kreg R3 Jr pockethole jig, Kreg clamp, and a fair assortment of pockethole screws packed neatly in a Craftsman box.

Then, four Vaughan hammers (+1) and some locking pliers and cutters that I never can have too many of.

My "acceptable" Crescent's showed up. Apparently "acceptable" means "obviously used and returned for refund." But the cutting faces are undamaged and only show the slightest hint of light at the tip so I guess I'll keep them.
ETA: and I just noticed hecho en west Taiwan. :cautious:

Those apache boxes are pretty nice for the price. Definitely on the good buy list from HF.

The 5mil Hardy gloves have a reputation for being very fragile.
Yup, I bought a box @ $5.99 when they finaly dropped backdown in price. I could've sworn I remember them being better but that was years before the pandemic. Glad I only bought 1 box, I was planning to buy 4 or 5. They also seem to be larger in size than I remember. But whatever I'll just use them for light duty stuff.

I'll agree they aren't the best but my general use is during oil changes, painting/staining or spraying weed killer.

Still a better price than the ones we are buying (medical grade) at the station.....$25/box.

Oh I wish they were made in Taiwan, I probably wouldn't have dug 1/8" slivers of metal out of the hinge mechanism if it were. Unfortunately this was made to the west on the mainland. The finishing on it is terrible, the jaws are ground unevenly at the tip, uneven grind marks galore. They're functional, but that's about all I can say about them. I think I'll keep them just to try out the compound mechanism.

OEM brake spring pliers. Gearwrench serpentine belt tool and some Dasco Pro punches. From a member on here. Then a Matco T9 screwdriver for taking things apart on my power tools and a T35 torx bit socket. Can’t say I’ll ever need it but it was cheap and I didn’t have it. Direct from Matco. Also have a 4 inch set of needle nose locking pliers coming from them as well but they are on back order.

That drum brake spring tool looks short or is it the angle of the way the photo was taken? I just used my Craftsman one for replacing the rear brakes on my Ford Ranger

It’s normal sized. Just the angle. Same size as all the rest of my pairs. Really handy when you need it. Fortunately I don’t do many drum brakes anymore lol.

The first of my extra long ratchet box wrench’s turned up this week, I forgot to take a photo of it when it came in, so here’s it when I started using it. I’m really pleased with it, works great.

I wanted the full set of these, but they were coming in at over $1000…you know it’s bad when the snap on guy says ‘these come with a lot of lube’. So I ordered the 10, 13, 16, 17mm for now, will pick up the 18 and 19 when my bank balance recovers
I spy a 1.8T
