Will garbage disposal make over sink LED lights dim on dedicated circuit?

I'm wondering if a garbage disposal and a single over the sink shelf light (led) would be a bad idea if together on a dedicated 12g 20a circuit? Would I get dimming with disposal useage?

Depends on the size of the motor and the amount of in-rush current it has. If the in-rush current is significant enough, it could cause voltage momentary drop until motor gets up to speed

Led lights aren't as susceptible to dim like that the way incandescent does.

Pus LED's aren't looking for a lot of current so they are not fighting for amps. GD would have to be a monster on 14 ga.

But, nothing is absolute.

Some are! My 4 Inch HALO brand lights will dip if you look at them wrong. When on generator power and the AC kicks on they will dip, but the other brand lights are no problem

I have some LED that are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations. I have 2 bulbs in a fixture that dim when my printer is used the other 3 bulbs in the fixture don't. they are different brands as I only replace one bulb at a time when they fail.

Is it really going to be a concern though if the lights dim a bit when the garbage disposal is run?

A one horsepower disposal can make many lights dim as it starts.

I have two garbage disposals (2 x 3/4 hp) and a bunch of LED lights (both strings and cans) in our kitchen. The garbage disposal does not impact the LEDs at all. The strings have a large AC to DC transformer. I assume the cans have their own internal transformer.
