This dude gave up trying to keep the ground hogs out of his garden, ended up making a separate garden for them and the other critters. His videos are hilarious.

My kids love the Chunk videos. Although the he does occasionally get into the garden he is being kept out of.

No go on anything but the banana, so I tried to smear banana onto other things, Chuck will take a bite, realize it isn't banana and then proceed to lick all the banana off and leave the rest. Today is our first real travel day, I came up to the Hill early to see if I could find Momma Chuck, but all I have seen is turkeys, lots of them. Chuck will be headed to the Salvage Garage at some point, going to try and finish up the detail work on the air brake/bag system for the Muv-All. My aluminum rims showed up yesterday, so I have to bring those and the tires over to get mounted as well, lots of little things moving the progress meter today.

Chuck decided he wanted breakfast a 3:45 AM, I was having a semi sleepless night as is, probably got three hours total and I feel it. I am up at the Hill now, the Blurb is full of wood working tools for the wood shop. I still have several more things to bring over from the Salvage Garage, it will be nice to have a cohesive wood working shop once again. Yesterday I got the three adjustable height tables configured with the new foot master casters, I got really lucky, I ordered 1/2"-13 threaded studs and that was what the tables had, I did still have to cut up 12 new pieces of threaded rod, the studs the casters came with were way to short. The Blurb got a trailer brake controller installed, still need to put in a new rear plug, the current one isn't totally wired up and it has been smashed a few too many times, thought I had one, but spent 20 minutes looking, so I guess I have to buy one.

Later, at the SG, the trailer got as finished as it can be without having the wheels on, I can't get the tires mounted until Monday, so we are shooting for Tuesday.

I also dug into the Pintle hitch on the back of Perk, moving it up a few inches should make the new army trailer usable. I drilled all the holes, but bolts won't be here until Monday. From there, I still have to rework the glad hands and tail lights, add the receiver hitch, add the gooseneck hitch, swap the fifth wheel out and make the air lock work so it can easily be repositioned. Also have to try and countersink the bolts on the top of the frame rail so the Tru-Hitch will sit flat. I am sure there are ten other things that need to be done during all that, another never ending project.

Then on the way home we picked up a couple big wooden spools, one is for my Buddy's cow, it likes to push things around and rub against them. One is possibly for an outdoor table. I have the small one.

I still haven't seen any sign of any other ground hogs up at the Hill. I am thinking something may have happened to the Mom and Chuck got lucky that he found me. I bought some other vegetables for him to try, broccoli, zucchini, and cucumber (along with more bananas).

I took the last of the 8' fluorescent bulbs to the recycling center along with a good sized load of cardboard. Unfortunately the carpenter is a no show, so the office gets set back another week......

I have been looking for a used rabbit cage to put Chuck in, but I am not having much luck, may end up buying the biggest critter cage I can find. I did find a really nice one, but they want way too much for it and it is a bit bigger than I wanted. I figure another couple weeks and Chuck will need an outdoor cage.

Running with the AC on, all around town driving, 30 miles with a trailer and I still got 14.3 MPG in the Blurb. This was based on 493 miles, so not a short tank estimate. I need to take a long highway trip so I can see how close to 20 I can get. I suspect with the AC off it would be closer to 16 MPG, but it has been hot enough for me, that I am OK with losing 1.5 MPG to stay cooler. I still think it will do even better once the injection timing is finalized, but there are a few too many things in front of that right now. Once I get the Muv-All trailer inspected, then I can concentrate on the Blurb for a bit.

That is the “commercial” one, the Blurb has the “personal” one. I think the state is going to start pulling all the duplicates though, they started by cracking down on all the bad words and terms.

Chuck has established a bathroom area, no real schedule, but after bathroom, he runs around like a lunatic. Right now he can get out of the tote and he runs around the bedroom, the cats go crazy. They will all be outside the door just itching to get in.

All we have are 5 tons. M939 series and Dad has a couple older ones, but 5 tons or 10 tons.

Chuck just had his, “I guess I was hungrier than I thought”. Three hours after dinner. Now he is moving around again.

Sounds like Chuck wouldn't hard to litter box train. What does the girlfriend think of Chuck? And it sounds like you've been making big progress on getting things done.

The GF thinks Chuck may be a handful, she is probably right, but at this point I am feeling committed.

The projects are creeping forward, hopefully I can get a few more things checked off the list in the next week or so. Chuck does slow me down a bit, but it also acts as a reminder that I need to take a break every so often.

Well, he has a sweet tooth for sure, he ate a good portion of a strawberry. I have blended up a concoction that is banana based, it has some of everything, used the powdered dog milk and electrolyte powder. It smells like bananas to me, but we will have to test it out on the crack addict.

Well the first mix wasn’t very successful, but the second one was a hit. Basically a banana smoothie made with powdered dog formula and electrolyte. He chowed down more than I have seen him eat so far. While I would prefer there be a lot less banana, at least this is still better because it has the formula in it as well.
