If you want, we have 6 of his cousins you are more than welcome to adopt. One of the next jobs I have, after we get Robin's Hemp in the ground, is to serve them an eviction notice by removing the rotted shed they're living under.

I read that they are considered good food in Switzerland and France.

Chuck got up at 2 AM, but he is still asleep now. I can live with that, today was supposed to be rainy all day, then the weather guessers changed the forecast overnight to something completely different. I have to drop of the tires and aluminum rims for the Muv-All trailer, the tire shop says they will have them mounted today. That is one of the last pieces that I need to get the trailer back together.

I plan on doing paperwork most of today, got to get caught up.

I used to bring groundhogs to a guy on the construction site. I told him when the dog killed it, he said that they were softer than the ones I shot. He was lacking in the tooth department. 😆
They are in the rodent family.

Geez, a pet groundhog? If you're into that sort of thing, i'll ship you *ALL* of mine. God knows i can't keep them from burrowing under my buildings...

The biggest issue with him running free is that he is probably going to be food dependent on me. Everything I have read says if there is only one and you raise it, you can’t really release it without other woodchucks adopting it. I have had some interesting pets over the years, this one is a lot different because it is a baby and has to be cared for more than other animals. At this point, I still haven’t seen the mother, so I have no clue what happened or how he ended up in my shop. Once he is into solid foods all the time, things will be way smoother for sure. Probably just make a pen at all my locations, then use a cat or dog carrier to haul him around. He doesn’t seem to care about riding around. He is sleeping in the truck with me now. I had to drop off some things at my Buddy’s place and now I am at tractor supply looking for some sort of cage.

I will try and upload some Chuck vids to youtube and then post the links.

Today has not been a good day for paperwork, it turned into a deliver old file cabinets to my Buddy, take the rims and tires to the tire place, and then my tote connection called with another 75 totes. I have been at the Salvage Garage for a couple hours, all I have done is unload the totes, and then clean up Chuck's box, then feed him some banana smoothie. I am probably just going home now, I really don't have any motivation right now. At least I did one thing moving me towards this week's goal of getting the Muv-All trailer back to being useful. Hopefully tomorrow will let me get more things done so I am ready for help on Wednesday, fingers crossed.

Chuck is a bit unsure of his new abode, he doesn’t seem to like the wire mesh floor at all. I guess I don’t blame him, hopefully this will stop him from laying in a puddle while he urinates. I may stay up until he has to go, that way I can find out if he freaks out or not. I figure this cage is only going to be good for a few weeks, then he will be too big anyways and I am going to have to figure out something else. :(

He basically hides under the blanket 95% of the day, not even sure how much time outside an adult spends versus time underground.

Everything in Chuck land is good, he will walk on the wire mesh now without issue, he used the same corner twice so far to evacuate, after some adjustments, there is no mess now. He ate at midnight and was ready again at 7:15, hopefully he will keep working towards my schedule. ;)

I'm not sure you know what you're getting into here. If you research the movie Groundhog day, you get some information on the groundhog during shooting, i guess that was a fairly tame one that had been trained, and it was still quite a handful and bit Bill Murray a few times. Still a wild animal.

I would imagine a movie set wouldn't exactly bring out the best in any animal, trained or not. I understand 75% of what I am getting into. I will have to make up the rest as I go. Everyone here can go along for the ride.

Today I have to do a few errands, then I need to do some more paperwork, I have to get some checks written and sent off, should have done it last week, but life happened and then Chuck became a distraction. I got the cat carrier out from the attic this morning, so now I don't need to haul around a huge tote everywhere. I Still need something for him to use at each shop to sleep in, I should really duplicate the cage setup, that might just be the best solution for now. Less confusing at least.

Did not mean to offend. I will enjoy the ride for sure! Just don't get hurt. ;)

The cat carrier was NOT a good idea. Chuck must think that he is under attack, he basically turned into a 6" tall grizzly bear, including a growl. As soon as I split the top half of the cage off, he was back to his normal cuddly self. I think I scared the **** out of him and I guess it makes sense so unless I can find a cat carrier with an easy open top section, it will be back to the tote to transport Chuck. I did end up buying two more of the rabbit cages, that should make things better for him once he gets to either shop.

I picked up my mounted wheels and tires for the Muv-All trailer, they are going to look really nice, so nice that the trailer is going to need to be painted sooner rather than later. :(

We have a cat carrier that is called "Catit" Cabrio that works well. The top hinges open and it also has plexiglass front the hinges open.

It works really well.

Today has turned into a screwed up mess, the new aluminum rims need special lug nuts, ones that no one stocks, we also found that no one stocks the wheel studs to install on the front of Perk so I can use the rims and tires off OMO. We decided to see if OMO had the same studs, but that turned into a mess too, OMO is out and at the top of the Hill now. We are back at the SG getting the inner wheels installed on the Muv-All trailer so we can make sure all the air plumbing is good and we can set the ride height for the new air bags. I will take Perk to the Hill so when I get the new wheel studs I can swap tires from OMO over to Perk a bit easier. Everything I touch ends up a clusterfack.

If it was easy, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun....

Strouty, probably won't make you feel better but I just started changing out some windows, found big time rot and major reconstruction on south side of my house. So you aren't the only one who has the opposite of the midas touch :) I will say the carpenter who installed original windows is an idiot and should never be trusted to do a ****** thing.

I see a couple of major issues here. First, the Perk wheels, but you already said you're working on getting the OMO wheels on it. Second, painting the Muv-All. Again, already mentioned, but it needs to be blue to match the Perk. Third, the housing on the pony motor needs to be painted. Or is it considered part of the repaint? Fourth and final. You need to repaint the outrigger. That rust stands out like a sore thimb. Now that I'm done busting your chops, I'm sure I haven't said anything you weren't already thinking, and I'm also sure it'll look good.

I like all three colors. I think it would look great with an American flag (waving) on the back of the cab or on the doors. Would tie all of the colors together.
