Looks like new drawer configurations and top options. The website is updated. It looks like they're venturing further into this.

Those cabinets look identical (in terms of drawer divider style, drawer latches, etc.) to the Rousseau cabinets we have at work.

I had e-mailed them about this almost a year ago, the drawer layouts they had were not right for industrial tools. Now if they come out with a hutch or top box that would be awesome. I'd love to see a half hutch/ drawers top box though I don't see that happening.

If I had more room at work, I would've gone with a Tekton box. They remind me a lot of the Listas we use at work and those things take a beating and keep going. But alas, I am confined to an under 29" width next to my machine to play with at work.

I thought Tekton was fair quality tools at a fair price point, guess not so much when it comes to storage.
Those boxes are top of the line, not just fair quality.

As far as fair quality at a fair price point, they're not going to build their own factory and even low quality tool storage has skyrocketed the last couple of years. I don't think they have a lot of options.

I believe when you factor in shipping they are priced lower than buying directly from Rousseau. They were at one time but not sure now.

Theyre not that far off in price, but shipping is the deal killer.

I got a custom quote from a Rousseau distributor last year and everything was good until we got to the $700 shipping cost.

Tekton is FREE SHIPPING even on the Boxes/Cabinets!!!

I bought 2 for the plant a while back...free shipping and $1000 in store credit. Not a bad deal at all.

These Cabinets are tough. We use them to store Press Brake Tooling. They are holding up better than the Lista Cabinets we have used in the past. I have a Sales Rep getting me a quote for 16-20 custom 42 inch wide Cabinets to standardize all our Tooling Storage. We will be taking 12 Cabinets out of service. 2 of them are going home with me I can tell you that right now. I need a better Tool Storage solution myself...

I don't find them expensive for how well they are constructed. Especially when you can the tops for either $0 or around $100 after you factor in rewards.

I've been looking at getting a larger cart than my Homak and the 48" with the steel top is really temping when factoring in the quality and the fact that the shop I work at is really tight on space and the cart doesn't actually move anywhere along with the prices of something like a SO cart.

Yeah but at the time tekton didn't have these new drawer layouts. The one I customized was pretty much like the new drawer layout they just released. 60x30 with a stainless top and the corner bumpers. I think it was 3700 + 700 in shipping, but that was right before a Rousseau price increase. I bet the same box would be 4k+ now before shipping.

Correct. They're well above average. Not "fair." If you haven't checked one out in person, you should. Rousseaus' biggest problem in the U.S. market is shipping / distribution adding to the price. For the guy who knows he would be dissatisfied with the HF and lower end offerings, and doesn't want to go big on price, it is very well worth reviewing the Tekton relabeled Rousseau boxes. Rousseau does some advertising in the U.S. I have seen them at Goodguys.

I’ve had the 60”x24” for a little over 6 months now, and I’m more than pleased with it. Very solid construction and it’s held up to everyday pro use. I was accustomed to Lista and Stanley Vidmar from from my military days, and I can say the features and construction are comparable. I noticed Tekton started offering butcher block and stainless steel top options a couple of months ago. What’s frustrating is they no longer offer the 24” deep cabinets, only 27” and 30”. So of course they don’t offer 24” deep tops. Guess my timing was off.

Nice to see Tekton making some new boxes. I had looked at them before I decided on a USG box to tide me over. The drawer dividers are a nifty idea, but I personally can't see myself using them on most drawers.

I'm not a huge fan of the drawer layout, but maybe it would grow on me.

I know this is stupid, but those handles look so odd to me.

The handles are the only thing I’d change. They appear to be brushed aluminum, and they stain very easily from oil and grime. Would Havel liked something low maintenance like a blacked out finish.

While it does stain w/ grime, it also wipes clean easily in my experience.

If you scroll down it says:
Cabinet Made in Canada
Castors Made in Germany
Drawer Liners Made in China
I think that detail/disclosure is great.

But I still wonder why they say Made in North America instead of Made in Canada...other than hiding something/making people think US, it makes no sense when it's a single country on the continent

If I’m ever able to buy a new box it will probably be a Tekton, if:

They introduce top chests and side cabinets.

When I was shopping for a box I asked about stacking a Rouseau non roller cabinet on top of a roller cabinet and they were not supportive of the idea. Rouseau does make tall cabinets though they aren't on wheels. Rouseau does have the ability though I'm guessing there's some liability issues with adding more weight on top.

Offering top boxes, hutches, and side lockers would be awesome though I don't see it happening.

Not sure what you mean but here is a pic. I drilled a hole in the USG side box and used a pre-existing hole in the Tekton to bolt the two together. Screenshot 2022-09-14 172515.jpg

Thank you. By “mounted” I meant what you did. Mounted the side cabinet to the main box. Instead of just butting it up against each other.
