I am missing a 3/8 tubing wrench to my set, I am sure several guys here have sourced Proto, just wondering where the hot spot to buy is?

A lot of industrial supply places like McMaster-Carr and Grainger carries Proto. In McMaster's case you'll have to call to find out the actual manufacturer, but all of the sockets i've bought from them have been Proto.

I'm lucky to have a cool little independent tool store in town that stock most of the entire Proto line: www.brtool.com

that's interest. i didn't know mcmaster carried proto. all the sockets i've bought from mcmaster have been armstrong. i wonder if proto is their regular line and armstrong is the premium line. because i always order premium line and always get armstrong.

McMaster will sell whatever they get at the best price, might be Proto one week and Armstrong the next. I've ordered both chrome and impact sockets a few times and they have always been Proto. Wouldn't complain if it were Armstrong either.

With Grainger you know what you're getting, but I think they're a bit more expensive, at least for what I've looked for.

Alexandria general supply might be worth a shot-

I haven't ordered from them, but the pricing is consistently lower than grainger. ...that being said it's easier to find stuff if you have a proto catalog to source product ID #s from. :)
