Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I also picked one up recently. Had my dealer put a green handle on it too.
Is it better with or without the grip?
For me the grip is better, although I'd rather not have the grip. I have arthritis and the grip makes the wrench fatter, easier, and more comfortable to hold onto. Regarding the locking mechanism, it operates locked or unlocked, but unlocked there are 12 indexed positions it clicks into and out of when unlocked. Those are the positions the head locks into, when locked. HTHIs it better with or without the grip?
Do you like or use the locking feature? Can it operate as non-locking? I ask because all of my flex ratchets are non-locking, but I have been in situations where locking may have been preferred.
Very helpful, thank you. I think that this ratchet operates locked and unlocked is a great. Now to find a deal on one!For me the grip is better, although I'd rather not have the grip. I was using my metric DBEs today and my set has all of the even sizes on a wrench and all the odd sizes on a wrench so it has an 8/10, 9/11, 12/14, 13/15, and a 17/19.Then a 13/15 combo would also make sense. My point being I like to see commonly used sizes on the same wrench, not a common one together with an uncommon one, which makes you have to grab two wrenches.
Hey @sweet victory where did you source the iroda heat shrink tool?
It's more for working on cast wheels off the bike, specifically stripping & polishing then. Can't recall the last time I laced a wheel, but it wasn't this century.I love building wheels, not many that know how to anymore at least in dealerships, my stand is a little more robust.
I bought a 44" top for mine and was not impressed with the quality so I returned it. No double slides on the bottom drawers like I thought they would have.New 44” cab.
…now to wait for a deal on the 44” top chest!
Anything else about the quality that was lacking?I bought a 44" top for mine and was not impressed with the quality so I returned it. No double slides on the bottom drawers like I thought they would have.
Here's one of the posts that I saw: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/do-not-try-this-at-home.194456/#post-3070327Anything else about the quality that was lacking?
I was planning on adding a replacement set of slides to the top. This will allow me to just swap the deep drawers from the top chest with 2 rows of shallow drawers from the cabinet. I got the idea from a thread somewhere on here....

I like that idea of the drawer configuration, keeping the shallows on top. Here's one of the posts that I saw: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/do-not-try-this-at-home.194456/#post-3070327
Note: larry4406 also modified the drawers so the locks all worked. I won't be doing that since this is just in my garage at home.
Here's a cropped picture from that post that shows only shallow drawers on the top chest, and 2 rows of deep drawers on the bottom cabinet:

A dial gauge will really let you dial a wheel inHave the truing stand too. Tad different. You have right angle bar. I have straight bar. Good stand!
Built my first dirtbike wheel on it!
Got it on a warehouse deal, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08V9J1H7N/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Full price is a bit much but at less than a third I was on it and as usual it's perfect.Dude we need some details pronto
I thought about ordering some extra slides as well for my HF box but never got around to doing that. Let me know how this works out for you and the price if the slides, if you don't mind. keep us posted. **Edit: here's the other website that I saw. This was switching on a Gen1, but same principles will apply:
The only difference is, I will be ordering 2 replacement sets of slides from HF so every deep drawer has 2 slides per side.![]()
Swapping Drawers on the 44″ Harbor Freight Tool Cabinet
Thanks to some Christmas money, I was able to pick up a new tool cabinet. This is one of Harbor Freight’s well regarded tool cabinets. I like the cabinet a lot but wasn’t a fan of the…somanyhobbies.wordpress.com
Well ****, mine is not the 22 inch version, it is the 16 inch one I believe. Oh well. Had it several years. Here's the HF parts list as of this morning: https://manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/parts/In_Stock_Replacement_Parts.pdf
**note: item #'s vary widely! Even the same color & size chest can come in a variety of item #'s.**
On page 287, it looks like a set (L&R) of slides is $15.98.
Once I get the top chest at a price I'm good with, I'll post a follow-up!![]()

Crankshaft nut on a cb550 (honda)Mazda ball joint nuts?
ls this thread more for just new tool, or also for garage sale scores, and facebook and craiglist stuff?
They look a lot like my Snap On regular Wobble extensions rather than the Wobble Plus version. The Wobble Plus have a short section behind the wobble that locks it straight. There isn’t a lot of wobble when using certain socket brands and I can’t figure out if it’s just a wobble or a wobble-fix because the sockets seem to lock in.
Well, These Fit then. Gave $50.00 for the Vise, and $50.00 fir the DPTools that are new to you, recent purchases.![]()
