Hi Guys,

I am looking for garage mat to protect epoxy flooring.

I am looking for one piece that will be enough for one car. I want protection from hot tire pick up and scratching.

Please let me know if you have any recommendation.

Thank you.

I am looking for secondary protection for rocksolid that I can replace easily since I heard that hot tire pick up can be an issue

I would test it before wasting money on those G-Floor mats. It makes no sense to put down epoxy and not at least find out if you have tire issues.

Good for you buddy
So you joint on here, ask for opinions, are given one and get your feelers hurt? :ROFLMAO:

Do you have a seat cover for your seat cover in your car too? Whatever wear and tear the epoxy gets, it's not a huge deal to redo in 5 years or whatever.

The Rust oleum held up fine in my garage. About the only thing that really beat it up was welding and a few spots tires with studs or chains spun a bit. Could have used a redo when I moved out just to spruce it up, but I put it down in 2009.

If you are parking snow filled cars, it MAY be worth looking into a mat that has a raised lip to keep the water contained unless you have a drain and a decent slope to the drain,.

Gentleman,

I would like to split the difference here.

First, it is very common for people to use garage mats over coated floors.
Second, with a high-quality epoxy or poly and a floor that has been properly prepared, I would agree that you 'should not have to'

Mats will create a nice look, the ribbed pattern will keep oil and **** from getting all over and it's a little insurance.

Thanks Guys, I will check G-Floor mats tonight.

I wonder if they sell them in Canada. I will will research it.

Just finished taking off masking last Sunday. I only walked on finished floors so far. I will wait for 7 days to pass to bring things in.

Below how it turned out. Not perfect, but good enough for me
