So I'm almost got my new garage up and ready to order some equipment. I'm probably getting a Bendpak 2 post and was talking with them about the ranger machines. While they look decent I think they are over priced and I started looking at Weaver's W-989XS changer and W957-40 and W987 balancers. They seem to get good reviews but not sure which balancer will serve me better. These are for my personal garage and will not see allot of use.
Anyone run these combo of machines and can add any feedback?

It makes absolutely no sense to buy tire changing equipment for a home garage. Even auto repair shops farm out tire work a lot of the time.

Haha. Since when do all tool or equipment purchases have to make financial sense? If I had the money and space, I'd have tire changing equipment regardless of how often I used it. Because if I needed or wanted to to do something with any tire/wheel, I can do it right away or when and how I want. Not only that, I wouldn't have to worry about someone else damaging my wheels.

And you think buying a useful tool makes no sense? I have a 2021 hellcat redeye and had a pro shop swap the tires with 11 miles on the car and guess what they marred one of the wheels. I have the shop space and money so why not indulge and save some grief of getting wheels trashed. I'm a auto tech of 30+ years also and these are something I always wanted of my own. If I use them once a year who cares at least I know they are there when one of my many vehicles needs rubber.
