Vise ID

Hey Guys! I'm new to the forum as you can see.

I ran across a vise that the internet seems to have no knowledge of.

I have literally fallen asleep at my desk trying to find a picture of a vise anything like this one.

Help!

That was originally built by Schum starting in the 1950s and later Milhoff. Milhoff might still be making them.

Unless the markings are underneath the thick layer of paint, this vice is unmarked and I can't find a Schum or a Milhoff with the weird collar "shield" addition or squared-off feet, but it is definitely a Schum or Milhoff.

I could also use some vise expertise. This is an A-B self-centering drill press vise. Anyone ever seen one like it? -- Im wondering if it was shop-made (if so, they did a helluva job-- it turns like butta)
