You can buy the Milwaukee high torque for $249 on Amazon and a couple other places, I'd say it's not worth the $20 saving...................

I have a Bauer 3/8” impact that I purchased before I started buying Milwaukee M18 tools. It works fine but I decided the availability of Milwaukee far outstrips any monetary advantage of the HF tools. I do like HF and I have a couple of their tool carts and other items. I just don’t want to invest in a tool line that is proprietary to one store.

Makita High Torques are currently like $275-300. Inflation is setting in.

uh yeh, theres the catch,
Buyers are not buying from mfgers at HF, its strictly middleman for chinese products and they discontinue tool lines when they like.

Problems with milwaukee are usually dealt with by milwaukee, how do you send something back to hercules?
Some tools aren't worth repairing, as we see.

You don't. You hand the defective tool the the nice HF employee, go to the section of the store where they are and pick up a new one and walk out. I'm Mr. Milwaukee but HF is now coming to play the game and they aren't screwing around.

I just remembered that I'd rather have one with an extended anvil for flip sockets. Their extended anvil version doesn't come in a kit.

But the main reason I need one for is the crankshaft bolt that holds the harmonic balancer on a Buick 3800.

Sooner or later that crankshaft position sensor is going to go out.
