Parker vise 974 jaws

Hi. I have a Parker vise 974. When cleaning up the top of the jaws, they appear to be made of brass. Are all Parker jaws brass or are some or all brass with a steel shell, at least in the teeth area? CPV

I’ve never seen a Parker with brass jaws. I’ll bet that those are shop made and not factory.

I've noticed the brass jaws after belt sanding/dressing up the tops of the jaws to eliminate hacksaw gauges. The jaw face/teeth appear to be steel colored. I'll put a magnet on it in different spots and see what is what. Thanks Shiftless. CPV
