We have an old wood trailer similar to a snowmobile trailer.

We painted it, maybe 4 years ago with some old paint we had.

Now it needs to be scraped and painted again.

I'd like a once and done coating.

The trailer is about 8 x 12, with 1x10 sides.

Any recommendations?

I don't ever want to paint it again. I also don't want it to rot away from lack of paint.

It sits outside year round

I painted the undercarriage of a classic car with alkyd enamel (also sold as farm and implement paint) mixed with some hardener. I really like the finish. Seems to be pretty hard and durable.

Edit: Missed the wood part. Disregard this post.

Bullet liner, lineX or Rhino line.

We have a rusty 2006 Jeep Liberty to coat also.

We need to check the local body shop to see what they use.

Searches didn't show any of the listed liners having applicators within an hours drive. Of 60938

I'd buy a good quality exterior paint and expect to paint it again in 5-10 years. Storage indoors would be about the only way to preserve it. There's no magic elixir that will make paint last forever.

It doesn't have to last forever, it just has to outlast me.
