OMT Pads for metal/paint/rust use

Is there a good sanding pad out there or attachment to use on an OMT so that it could be used for metal work on paint/rust issues? Looking at a die grinder for some one offs, and wondering if theres another option for using my OMT since it wouldnt be a high use tool for me to justify a die grinder

I have the first gen Fein tool. I bought the profile sanding set to refinish furniture. The triangle sander that came with it would be good. I also stick adhesive DA paper to the putty knife to sand in corners. Never thought to use it on rust though. Just grab my body working tools usually a grinder or scotch pad surfacer. Rust usually requires some sort of chemical treatment too.
