As much as I like the idea of framing them, I don't have any spare frames laying about. So I took a different approach.

I've told this story before, but my grandfather, all 5'2" of him, and speaking no English when he arrived at Ellis Island, was the foreman of the yard gang on the Chestnut Hill RR when I was a young boy. "Little Johnny" was presented two things when he retired. An HO gauge RR set that took up the entire attic, which my brothers and I spent countless hours playing with, and this drawing of PENNSY K-4, one of his locomotives, which hung for many years on the dining room wall in my grandparent's house, and which I got when he died.

I'd like to get one of those pivotting Tiger Grip wrenches - only seen them in pics.

Heels,
The one at the top. You know it's a Steelcraft, right? German import. That's only the second one I have ever seen..., and mine was the first I had ever seen! :) Identified by Stan Schulz after the 'Progress is Fine, but...' blogspot guy featured it in one of his blogs. I don't remember you commenting on it at the time, so I didn't know you had one. Very cool.

I don't remember seeing that thread, I believe. I knew I had another Steelcraft some where so I done some digging and found this. Great info., thank you.

Here's another approach to your "Picture This:" theme...

Some of you will recall that I used this framed cover of the February 1991 Smithsonian magazine, modified with a well-placed stickie, during the intro to my 'Lugzsonian' thread.

Here's the cover unadulterated.

And here's the cover with a little 3D addition...

Don't see it? How 'bout now? :pimpflash
