So today started out pretty normal then my boss told me his son would sell some of his tools because he'd never use them again. After work we follow him home and me and a co worker look in the box.

All the air tools are IR 3/8 impact, 1/2 impact, 3/8 +1/4 air ratchet, right angle drill. MAC tap and die set, mac spray gun, few random mac wrenches. Snap on 3/8 drive metric deep and shallow sets, snap on 3/8 drive standard deep set. Blue point twist sockets, gearwrench ratcheting wrenches, SK stubby metric wrenches, bunch of stanley hammers, MAC drill bits.

I forget what else buts its a 8 drawer craftsman bottom and 8 drawer top that is FILLED. I ask my boss about a few and he says lets sell it as a whole for like ~500. He said he'd ask his son and see what we can do. So me and my coworker said we'd take a few things then sell the sockets and a few other things to break even on it.

Fast forward 2 hours later. I go over an "uncles" house (I met this man 8 months ago and he has since taken me in as family, long story). He shows me his father-in-laws left over tools. He was a diesel mechanic years ago and has since passed away. His tools from when he was a mechanic have since been sold but these were the stuff that he wanted/was in his truck etc.

There is some taiwanese stuff but he showed me the snap on ferret set and I was like WOW. Great condition. Enough talk here is pics.

The date code on that snap on set says 1941. So I pull out the stuff I wanted and was like that snap on stuff is worth something so I say how about $100 for everything he refuses and I was like ok $150? (he is a dear friend and I was not about to low ball him). He laughs and goes take it all he'd want the tools to be used.

So now I have about 40lbs of tools in my room.:)

In the stuff on my floor there is some matco, snap on, rigid, channellock, cman, proto,SK, and a lot of other good things.

Sweet ferret set. So when do you find out about the bosses son's tools?

Already did he said for $500 we can have them all. So if anyone wants anything I'll make a topic soon.

The stuff from the other guy none of it is for sale.

Cool, glad you got it. And I'm glad you are not selling the gift from a friend. Nothing beats having a lot of new used tools to go through,,,,,,,,,,except ***. But at my age (52), I spend more time going through tools than spending "time" with the wife of 30 years but *** is still better than tools:lol_hitti

Lol yeah going through tools is almost as good as ***. And yes the tools pictured were free. On Monday my coworker and I are getting that toolbox of stuff. Splitting it up and selling what we don't want.

I know what we be for sale:
Snap on 3/8 drive metric socket set 10-19 deep.
Snap on 3/8 metro. Socket set 10-19 shallow.
Snap on standard 3/8 drive sockets (not sure what is there)
IR 3/8 impact

And maybe more.
