For background, Duker started this thread a while back. There were folks saying he was posting deals in the original AWD thread that were not tools. So he started the non-tool thread, which has flourished, while the other thread fell to the wayside. So it is mostly, but not exclusively tools.
Nick started the non AWD thread to distinguish items that were a markdown, rather than one off AWD return/used items. It was a good idea that is hard to remember sometimes.

So when he says

I'm certain this one was on him too.

He is taking me down for you posting in the wrong thread. Well, why? Because I am notorious for this offense and he and I have a back and forth ribbing each other on this issue since he is also not flawless (although better than me).
