I received an AWESOME!!! Garage Journal Secret Santa package from fellow member Vbwiley92.

A Utah and North Dakota license plate in perfect condition for my USA 50 state plate collection

A really cool old railroad oiler, I can't wait to find time to restore this one.

An old table vise that he picked up from his grandpa's things and restored it, how cool is that!!!

And a little taste of North Carolina, some Chapel Hill toffee that my wife stole already and a bottle of Pork and Peck'r BBQ sauce, I'm really excited to smoke something on the pellet smoker with this sauce 😋

I talked to my wife about this Pork and Peck'r sauce and she said "don't even think about it" 🤣 🤣 🤣

I really appreciate and love all these gifts.

Thanks a million Steven

The "kids" who came home for Christmas will be asleep until 1000 hrs and I couldn't wait that long to open @four.cycle 's not-so-Secret Santa presents. A pair of adjustable wrenches for my Oddfellows thread, a pre-Xcelite detachable open end wrench set and a pre-Xcelite bike wrench for my Zilliox patents fancy, which were all packed inside a postwar vintage US Army fingerprint kit box, which will be a perfect hiding place for my wartime vintage US Army fingerprint kit.

Wow my GJSS hit it out of the park! Received a tape measure, 1/4 inch ratchet, ratcheting wrench, flashlights, circular saw blade, 2 screwdrivers, assorted screwdriver bits, a 3 pound hammer head, tire gage and vice grips. It is more fun to give than receive but it is always exciting to open the GJSS gift. Thank you and have a Merry Christmas!

A really nice and thoughtful gift from @four.cycle . Thorsen metric shallow socket set with a ratchet and extension. A set of Thorsen deep SAE sockets. Some nice drill bits. Those will definitely be put to good use. A Tekton 8oz ball peen which is awesome. Some Channellock 528 8 inch slip joint pliers. Those are nice and I needed a good set for the house cause all mine here are cheap so those will definitely be added. A large Proto flat head screwdriver made in England. And some Pittsburgh needle nose vise grips. A new wire wheel for my grinder. Some miscellaneous screwdrivers one Stanley and three Pratt and Reed USA. And a card. I wanted to open this gift so badly and now it’s finally Christmas and glad I got to open it. I opened it first I haven’t opened any other gifts yet. This is awesome stuff I’m really happy to have it all. And really happy we have awesome members here. My smile is a whole lot bigger than normal today because of the tools.

My Ss was close to home. He found out I was a fire fighter and gave me this very cool helmet which is super heavy. Also on the front it says June third 1972 which is amazingly close to my birthday of 7/1/72. Also I received an epic level patch from Bedrock. Thanks Ratfink I loved everything

I was fortunate to have "two Secret Santas"! Package one has always needed and much appreciated tools. And Autocrat Coffee Syrup brings back memories of my dad. Thank you.

My other SS delivered all great biker stuff. I've got miles ahead of me, so these are coming along for the ride. Thank you.

Merry Christmas from my Secret Santa, bepjrfan! He did some great detective work, as I didn’t leave any hints this year. Two books, and another package on the way from Amazon:
“The Forgotten 500” about the rescue of downed Allied airmen from Yugoslavia. The museum where I volunteer has a temporary exhibit about the topic!
“The Rifle,” the story of American WW2 GIs, told from the perspective of an M1 rifle.

VERY well done, thanks bepjrfan!

Merry Christmas all!

Mikeb27 is helping to feed the coffee addiction, 2 more flavors from Black Rifle coffee to sample, the sugar cookie goes well with Apple Cider Donut holes. The Milwaukee mug is one I actually looked at, now it’s in my possession. The hat is quite warm, the extra lining by the ears rocks. The gummies will be a nice movie night snack with the daughter, I’ve never tried this kind. Thanks very much, all greatly appreciated items, and nice talking points with friends. its always cool talking about the GJSS with people not in the know.

And a special thanks to those that organize this every year, without your assistance, time and support none of this would be possible. Merry Christmas everyone!

Santa, ahem, 1320stang, left me a great gift, thank you sir! A restored hammer head with an awesome hickory handle, a speeder handle, which is perfect because I only have a 1/2" and this is 3/8"! An AC Delco spark gapper, a serprentine belt gauge (will have to learn how to use that!) A tire depth gauge, a folding rule (which is extra cool because it has a built in sliding depth gauge on it, never seen that before!), some campfire supplies and plenty of new decor for the garage! And a nice supply of packaging material, I mean red rags, that is perfect as I'm fresh out and about to start an outboard engine rebuild that I'll need plenty for!

Thank you very much @1320stang and merry Christmas!

Got a nice set of Proto marked vise grips, modern Proto adjustable, mint set of mfd marked(60’s) Proto pliers and a smaller 6” Proto professional adjustable. Thanks again four.cycle! Thank you to my really...really...really Secret Santa!!!

You did a lot of digging/snooping/investigative work. Awesome stuff!!!

Black Rifle Coffee and a cool Mug...love the "Starter Fluid".

A Work Bench Tape. Can't loose this once it is stuck to the Bench. Well I hope I don't loose it.

A Christmas Ornament. "First Christmas Retired 2022". Nice touch!!!

Targets...a guy can never have enough targets. The perfect size for those 500+ yard shots.

Tape Measures!!! 2 more that can disappear into the abyss of a project.

And a Book to occupy my down time!!! I have not come across this book. Very cool skimming through it. The Factory X days of racing!!! Brings back memories seeing the cars in the book. Built a lot of models back in the day based on some of the cars shown. Not to mention I have met a few of these history hero's of the sport.

Thank you Secret Santa whoever you are. I know it was shipped from Wylie TX which narrows it down to 59,394 people. Very thoughtful and I have to say the wrapping of each gift was absolutely perfect.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!

I'm not sure who my secret santa was, but I want to sincerely tank you for the generous gift. First they took the time to wrap the gift. My SS sent me some Mitutoyo Digital Calipers. This will diffently get put to use and I cannot thank you enough.
Glad you like them !
Digital calipers, not just for machinists anymore........
They dice, they slice, they make jooolianne fries :lol_hitti

Anyway, I used calipers all the time in the wood shop making laminated cabinets.
Many uses for fine woodworking. Maybe not so much in rough carpentry, though.
If nothing else, measure the diameter of a screw to find just the right drill for a pilot hole and a through hole.

Merry Christmas to you and yours !! xmas xmas

Another GJSS that is a great detective and at least a little psychic.

cmsspic.jpg
(sorry for the blurry pic. Tried better ones but they wouldn't download)

First off, everything was wrapped in the Sunday funnies. I saved one whole page but tore into the rest. Then, for a cushion in the box, a roll of the best shop towels I've ever seen.

Now on to the goodies !

A trickle charger. With three cars and one driver, a wise item I should have gotten my self a long time ago but never have.

An Armstrong stubby screwdriver - made in the USA.

A quality, Japan made screwdriver handle/bit set. My first tool actually from Japan. The only english on the package says "Vessel", so that's the name I'm going with. The precision, fit and finish live up to the hype.

An OEM Tools Bucket Bag. I always thought these made a ton of sense, but never pulled the trigger on one.

Now for the psychic part. A pair of C.H.P. flush cutters made in Italy. I use flush cutters every day at work to trim cable ties. (Can't leave those razor sharp stubs !) Haven't got a decent pair from the hardware stores yet, and I grumble about it all the time. Can't wait to put these to work.

There's more !

oldbaypic.jpg
Also received spice from........
Sylvia's, a famous soul food restaurant in Harlem.
And a jar from the Rendezvous in Memphis.

No pic of the last two, my niece is already using them to prepare rotisserie chicken.
She graduated from 'culinary" school (I called it chef school - silly me) and said the spices smelled amazing.
As for the Old Bay seasoning, that is what they used in chef school.

Thanks, Crabman !!
Merry Christmas everyone xmas xmas

I'm blown away!

My GJSS was J from FL, not sure the GJ username. If he wants to ping me I'll update my post.

I love Wera, and my SS got me an awesome stainless screwdriver set with a rack/mount. I've actually been wanting to mount a screwdriver set in our laundry room for household use and these stainless ones will be perfect.

I also got a sweet solar phone charger (perfect for camping!), a set of all 10mm sockets, a whole bunch of pferd cut off wheels, Wera and Miller stickers, electrical tape, and a $20 gift card to Lowes.

I love that he included a Christmas card from J's family, including some highlights from their year (Congrats!!). Pretty sure I'd be good friends with J if we actually knew each other!

Thanks so much J, for the generous and fitting gifts. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
