The name's Brian...so while most teens around where I live do nothing better with their time than watch TV, play video games, and do other things that are not productive, I like to work on my Expedition:thumbup:, build things, even if its a difficult task, and basically anything that requires labor and the use of tools. I am 18 now, just got out of high school, and can proudly say I am more experienced and more knowledgeable than most home owners around my area(damn suburbs). I took a vocational class for electricity, I spent a few weeks last year working in a carpenter's shop, I refinished my parents kitchen, and I mean it was stripped down past the sub floor. I have also done some minor plumbing.

As far as my garage goes, I share it with my dad, but we each have our own tools(All of mine I purchased with my own money:bounce:) I have been a craftsman nut for a while now, can't beat the warranty for the price seeing as I don't make the big bucks for S/O! I still have a pretty small collection, it is always growing, and hopefully soon I will have every tool I could ever need.

Just wanted to introduce myself here, and I am really excited that there is a classified section!

Welcome to the site. I'm like you- 18, recently graduated high school, obsessed with cars, garages, tools, etc. It seems like all kids (and pretty much everybody) on this site are all the same in terms of stuff we like to do in our spare time.

Uber-moderator Bull was the guy who brought me to this site. He was actually my 9th grade history teacher too. He's a great guy, and he's sure to pop in here and wish you a hello.

Welcome to the board!

Welcome to the GJ! You take pride in what you do, that's an honorable trait in my book. I work with guys twice your age who don't give 2 shits about their work. Focus on what line of work you wish to succeed in, the only thing that's gonna stop you is you! As far as your tool collection, it'll grow as you get better-that's a fact. Your head is on straight so you are already going in the right direction. There a lot of good people here on this site, you'll learn a lot. Don't be afraid to ask questions, there is a ton of knowlege here shared by all the members.

Brian, good for you, sounds like you are on your way and have your head screwed on straight. I have a step son, now 20 and moved out. But when he was growing up he thought nothing of loosing every tool, wrecking everything and basically being lazy. We have a huge 3500 sq foot hotrod shop that he really never cared for. I would have loved for him to have had your attitude. I even gave him a couple of old trucks and would have given him an expensive Mopar or two if he had showed any respect for the test vehicles I gave him.

Good to see the young carrying on a tradition.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, and I will try to get pictures of some of my projects, I just need to get a somewhat decent camera for pictures. Right now the only thing I have is a cell phone that isn't all that new(it came out in 2004, but still works, so why get a new one). I will take pictures of the kitchen, that was definitely my best project so far.
