Hi. I have a 2 wire attached to a threaded quick disconnect for my snowblower. What's the best type of connector for this type of application. 12 v, goes on and off somewhat frequently.

Pic of the existing threaded connector attached

Second vote for the two pin trailer style "SAE" connectors. They are simple, robust and just need to be kept greased.

I'll third the SAE style connectors for a quick and dirty on and off. They're heavily utilized in the battery tender world so I'm sure would be perfect for your application as well.

They're fine for carrying battery current to an incandescent lightbulb, but even when greased, they corrode quickly, particularly when exposed to salts (something you may encounter in the fight against snow), leading to sketchy connections. If this is powering an LED light, you WILL get flickering eventually.

Deutsch connectors....2 pin...they are the best...

This is much better.

I end up with metripack and weatherpack stuff.

Either of which can seal around the wire, and seal around the female to male connector cavity.

I would prioritize ease of disconnect instead of ripping a finger open, availability of an all-parts kit, terminal release out the back end vs. out the connection side (easier to replace a connector shell,) and larger gauge wire. Weatherpack is probably easier to release terminals with a paperclip or bic pieces.

Don't ask.
Best I'd suggest a metal MS (military standard) style connector most likely Amphenol or Cannon. Also plastic versions available (which may be what you have). You can get them threaded or bayonet (1/4 turn) mating. I'd use the bayonet style due to how many cycles of mating/unmating for this use.
