Air compressor lines in attic?

Has anyone here run their compressor lines through an unconditioned attic space? I am putting in a new line and it will go about 30 feet through a kneewall and then back into the garage to a regulator\separator. My concern is that in the summer the kneewall is hot and the air will not cool in the pipe so the separator can remove the water. Maybe I am over thinking this. Thanks in advance

I just ran mine from one side of my garage to the other against one of the trusses. Hopefully it is far enough under the insulation that it will stay relatively cool. Good question, looking forward to hear some responses.

I ran mine through a seriously hot attic, with no issues. I have a water separator just outside the compressor, then a vertical run to get into the attic, and I'm at 5420ft. Those three things pretty well eliminate any water issues.

The pipe thru the attic will not be doing much to cool the air and condense the moisture but you can do that with other runs of pipe. Or you can live in the desert or at high altitude and not worry about moisture.

Ran all of my lines up inside wall, to attic above the scissor trusses, then down to various drops around the shop, all inside the walls...Did it all in 3/4" black iron pipe, not enough room to get up inside there to sweat copper.

Thanks for all the responses. My initial take was what Torque1st said about not helping cool, but not really being an issue. I then read about one guy that had an issue, but who knows how he ran the pipe, type of pipe, and location etc. I will have about 30' of ?" copper in the attic and about 40' in the garage space. That should give the air time to cool. If it doesn't, then the water separator at the end should do the trick. I will post some pictures when I get it done. Thanks again

We have air line ran in attics with no problems.
of course in the dental world we clean and dry our air before it even goes into the tank.
Water in our air= your restoration falls out. not good.
