i have seriously been thinking about selling my snap on box and getting one of these boxes
for the money i would get TWICE the space
i just wish i could see one in person and feel it touch it play with it

At least twice the space if you measure cubic inches...significantly more if you measure square inches.

:beer:I see a little piece of my tool box in there! The 88t green matco ratchet.

Yep, good eye! Lots of stuff from GJ'ers in there!

thanks for the reply

.. love the box.. looking soooo forward to getting one... I have a awesome 52 wide 25 deep matco 6 box,, but its way to small for me.. I have a huge 4 drawer cart completely full too,, its time to get bigger,, so sick of cramming drawers all day at work,,,

Scotts box took forever. It was our first and I had huge delays. I now have almost all drawers in stock and it should only take 2 -3 weeks to deliver.

We now have the custom drawer software live on the site. www.strictlytoolboxes.com

The custom drawer software has only been up for a week or two. There are a few small issues but we will have version 2 up soon.

The way we handle the custom drawers is simple. You order online. Then we email you a rendering of what the finished box will look like for approval. After approval it should take about 1 week for us to ship your new box.

If anyone has any suggestions to make the custom drawer page easier to use please let me know.

Whoa! What a collection of European tools!

How do you like the Pliers Wrenches? I've been selling off my Channellocks and thinking of buying a pair, but I'm getting cold feet because of the price.

Also, I can't decided whether I should get the 7" or 10". It seems the 7" would be better for the smaller projects I would probably use it for.

Hi...I haven't been on the site for a couple of months...so sorry about the delay in replying to you all.

First, thanks for all of the compliments!

Second, the box continues to work out very well for me. I highly recommend Shannon and the Montezuma toolboxes.

Now to answer some specific questions:

Do you have every PB Swiss driver made ??!!??

Sadly, no :) Someday, I see the hex, ball hex, and socket drivers in my future, but those will need to wait awhile.

who makes all the red dead blows you have?

Trusty Cook. I highly recommend them, they've worked out extremely well for me (and many others on here).

Perhaps my best tool purchase ever...seriously. I find myself using them all of the time on things I can't otherwise get a good grip on or on items that I don't want to mar. For example, yesterday I used them to get a custom decorative valve stem cover off of my car...it was on too tight to get it off by hand, but the tiny plier wrench got it off with no hassle and no damage at all. I'm sure some will disagree, but I find that the difference in performance between my Knipex pliers in general, and the plier wrenches in particular, and their next closest competitor is greater than for any other tool I have.

Also, I can't decided whether I should get the 7" or 10". It seems the 7" would be better for the smaller projects I would probably use it for.

I would recommend 7" to start. After you use them a few times, you'll get the whole collection, I'm sure!

Congrats on the new box...love the Fluke Meter drawer...

Thanks! I wonder how many people even know what that stuff is. I suppose you can't know the specifics of the stuff in the cases/boxes. In addition to the relatively low end meter that you can see, there is a 179 in a case, and 2 very complete lead sets. You also see extra fuses, one of their better current clamps (a very sensitive one, for measuring parasitic draws), and in the black case is an infrared thermometer. I forget the model on the IRT, I think it's a 579 -- but it's one of the $$$ ones that has the tiny spot size...very useful.

Nice box and tool collection. One suggestion though, I think you will quickly tire of having to go to three seperate drawers for a socket, ratchet and extension. I found that if you store all sockets vertically, you can leave room in a deep wide draw for plenty of ratchets and extensions, plus air ratchets and couple of most used torque wrenches. But I do keep all my impact sockets in another deep drawer with the impact guns. Kind of "one stop shopping".

i work on hybrid trucks, so we use a fluke 1507 insulation tester to check the orange cabling..when i was looking for a good DVOM meter to troubleshoot these things, it was a toss up between fluke and mac..i chose the mac em720 as i was able to get it right away and not wait..
cheers.
