I have to get a few things out of the shop before I can bring that rack inside, I don't expect it to fall apart if I leave it outside, I know it has been outside for quite a while at this point, so I don't feel that bad about it.

They aren't addicting, just really hard to stop....
I feel this applies to a lot of different purchasing decisions. This year I’ve already bought a Snap On Prolink Edge, Solus Edge and my new Deere tractor. Do I really need this stuff? Kinda but not really at the same time. But I know it will all save me precious time I can use elsewhere.

I will admit, this thread and 86trbodsl's thread has helped me pull way back on any purchases. My guiding principles on a purchase is that it has to be immediately usable and solve a problem as well as being a good price. I also look around at some of my past purchases and it's a reminder to not buy more stuff that "just needs a little work"..... I have a bandsaw in pieces that I'm "restoring" and a 2-gang drill press that needs bearings, etc. I think I've figured out that sand blasting and painting stuff does not bring the joy..... Fabricating, riveting and welding, yes.

Have a missed a few deal? yup! Do I lose any sleep over the missed deal? nope. Do I enjoy having the shop floor space? Yup!!

Anyhow, I do enjoy seeing the progress in this thread..... Would enjoy seeing more of that (crane, engines, upgrades, dirt work, etc) instead of the dragging home of random **** that fills up yard.

Here's to seeing Perk lift and set a motor into a payloader this year!!! And seeing said payloader move some dirt around!!! :geek::geek:

Looks like the jig is up, we have snow and lots more coming. I would like to say I was totally ready, but I still have some stuff in the wrong place. The ground was a soft mushy mess under the snow, so that made it worse, hopefully things will at least get to freeze up a bit before the next storm. :(

My driveway will be a mess after Thursday, no doubt rain here on the mid coast after at least some snow and sleet.

I have been trying to take it easy and let my elbow heal. I figure a couple weeks now could save me surgery and eight weeks later. Not much to report other than all the snow, I have been plowing and trying to keep things clear, tonight we are supposed to get a bit of snow, then the temps are going to be in the mid 40s with rain until tomorrow afternoon. The ground under the snow never froze, probably won't freeze as we keep getting warmer weather or rain after the snow.

We left the snow on a couple of camps 2 or 3 snows ago. They weren't frozen underneath when we plowed last Friday. Ug.
Everything else is frozen here and the last snow was nice instead of the wet **** we've been getting. Tonight's 8"-12" might go either way.
I figured you've been busy with snow also. 👍

I hurt/pulled something in my back/shoulder about eight weeks ago. Not sure what is wrong. Cannot get an MRI right now due to past surgeries on my shoulder. Doctor claims he won't know what is the new injury compared to what was done in my last surgery. ( I pulled three tendons off of my shoulder) I started PT and electrical shock treatment. I started using CBD balm about a week ago and I think it has helped the most. Might be worth a try.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate snow?

I have to get the SG plowed and shoveled, we are getting rain then freezing temps again Friday and that will make a serious mess. Also, shoveling the stairs to the office has basically undone all my “taking it easy”, elbow is almost on fire. :(

Yeah, that looks like a ton of snow. Sorry about the elbow.

Would surgery on the elbow be that bad if it fixed it? I know if you don't take care of rotator cuff injuries quickly enough, it does irreversible damage. Same with shoulder tendons. Better to be down a month or two, than the rest of your life in pain?

The surgery should fix it, not sure if there is long term damage, as far as I know it is like a carpal tunnel deal, they take the sheath off so it doesn’t rub when inflammation sets in.

On a typical bad note, I broke the front overhead door and the wall. I forgot about my metal grate that I have in front of the door and I must have pushed it into the corner of the door, it pushed things in a few inches, broke the bottom roller, bent the track, and the entire wall is now set in on the slab. Awesome. :(

Just got done shoveling the roof off at the house, should keep things from backing up, but my elbow is on fire now. :(

I hope I can take things easy this weekend, unfortunately I haven’t been able to get anything done lately, so I have a backlog of things to deal with. Of course my list has continued to grow, so it is only making things worse.

I have been burned so many times for leaving **** out in the yard that the snow covers up. I feel your pain.
