We've been here for almost a year, and I have learned a lot. I have a 6000W 24V solar that I bought as a whole kit. It came with 6 200ah 12V AGM batteries, I have added two more, and 6 200W monocrystalline solar panels, I have added 6 more. It does great durning summer, with long days and lots of sunshine. This winter has been tough though. Have to run a generator every day to keep things charged. Theres lots I can improve on and plans are set for when the snow melts and ground thaws. All of our water is from a spring. We have to haul it for now from the lower part of the property, but like with the solar improvements, that will change once we can trench and burry water lines. I had to build a road to get where we are now (flatter and more open) and that took most of last year along with building gardens, greenhouses, barns, etc.
