I had a trolley in my shop and it was more of a pita than just lifting them myself. I might end up adding an I beam over the table and rig two bars to lift the sheets. From where I store the sheets to the table it's hard to use any clamps or pulling methods. I need to build a cart to store...

Yeah I buy 10-15 sheets at a time and load them by hand. Plus by the time you figure in the rails my Table is probably 6' wide. I'm 6'2 and still have issues reaching small pieces in the center. 24" lower would've solved both my issues. I usually only cut 14ga and get 4 or 5x10 sheets so...

HELP! 40x60 GARAGE STICK OR POLE BUILT? FINISHED UPSTAIRS?

I just went through the stick vs pole. My current shop is 30x40 stick built but I'm out of room and adding a 32x50 on to it in a T shape. The new one is going to be pole built only because the stick built just busted my budget. Attic trusses were also quite a bit more. I wanted to do 50/50...

I remember reading his as I was building mine and I think he went into a lot more detail. I did a build thread on a couple other forums but his is a good one to follow. We both used CandCNC packages and Precision Plasma gantry systems. I used a different gantry and if I could go back I'd go...

    MIG welding tips.

YouTube has a ton of informative videos when it comes to pretty much anything. Like the guy above said, wedlingtipsandtricks has lots of videos. You can generally put in what make/model welder you have and people will have videos using it/setting it up.

    7 x 18 utility trailer.

Just an FYI it's illegal and dangerous to attach the safety chains like that. They either need to be bolted (the best way, grade 8 bolts/nuts/washers) or attached to something (cold rolled steel) that is welded to the frame. The chains themselves CAN NOT be welded directly to the frame.

What did you do "TO" your garage today?

Re: What did you do to your garage today? Nothing right now. Guns are all in the safe behind that wall next to the case. I actually don't use it much anymore because of how heavy the thing is. If I ever need to fly somewhere I have it. I bought it for my RRA AR when they went on sale super...

    10' ceilings and a lift

Thanks, I'll be lifting a truck so I can't use the Max Jack. The Pro 9F can be put in a shop with under 10 foot ceiling heights so it should work. I wanted to see how the vehicles looked on the lift so I can see if it's worth buying or not. I can measure and see where things go IRL but it...

    10' ceilings and a lift

I'm sure a few people on here have 10' ceilings and a lift, could you guys post some pictures of the lift with and without cars on it? Do you have any issues with the lift and the low ceiling heights? Any regrets (other than not having a taller roof)? Any suggestions? Looking at the Direct...

    My shop

Car was sold last summer just before I built the shop. I never drove it so it had to go. I put in a 30 gallon Husky air compressor, an 8' work bench, and some shelves so far. It still has a lot of things from our house being built inside so we're short on room for now.

    My shop

It's not for personal use. I have 2 of them I use for commercial mowing. I used to have 5 but don't do much anymore. No, it just appears that way in that pic for some reason. Thanks for the compliments. I was going to finish drywalling it and paint it but all my friends that have done this...

    My shop

This is my shop. It's 30x40. I built it before I built my house to store my stuff in while the house was being built. Now I use it as my work area and to store our boat and my mowing equipment. It has 5 220 plugs and 110 plugs every 4 feet. It was 12 "60" watt flourecent lights in the...
