Two questions
What is/was a yard machine
What is it now?
Looks like it it is designed to pull behind a riding mower
A consistant theme here is confusion , the AMPS are the wire feed and the heat adjustmet, the Voltage is really intensity and arc length.Wow. I've never had my flux core welds make BBs that big. Would love to know what caused that. Amps too high and wire speed too fast?

Please do a build thread on this!! I would really be interested in doing on on a smaller scale like a 5x5 or 4x4.
I have a post build Re-Cap of my 5x5 build along with the capabilities I added after
Plasma Cut/ Route/ Scan/ Engrave...
Kazlx' thread is quite informative and there is nothing functionally different between a 4x4, 4x8, 5x5, 5x10 aside from the Qty of materials USed to build it.......

I need to build a cart to store the sheets on

Here's a headache/spare rack I built for my truck a few years ago. It's going to be reworked for a different setup once I get around to it.

Learning to weld through a night course at a local vo-tech. Third week of hands on, second week of MIG, first weld I'm willing to show off.
It's nice using someone else's nice equipment and scrap coupons, and getting hands-on feedback from the instructor as I work. Worth the price of admission: $350 for 12 3-hour sessions, plus cost of safety equipment. Mostly MIG, but we've done a little stick welding and will cover TIG as well.

Thanks. It's got 5.5" springs up front, Rough Country IIRC, and a 4" DIY shackle flip and switch in the back. I need to make some longer shackles to bring the rear up a bit. First pic is before the rear flip.

Love the old crew cab, I'd have a custom short bed behind it though with street tires and that would be my dd!!

Had my kids for the weekend so we made a Halloween decoration for the shop on Saturday.
I came up with the spider idea, my daughter said it needs a web and laid it out.
My son said it needed big fangs so it could eat a bug.
From preconceived notion to done was about 5 hours including lunch break and wrestling while playing spider vs. fly.
