So after I ordered my building figured it for slab on grade( similar build down the road from me) the building inspector wants a 40 inch frost wall and min 6 inch exposed foundation above grade(I'm 1 town over from neighbors build) ...so now I'm thinking about coming up a foot or maybe 2 out of...

Like , can handle snow load, 40 foot open spans, etc...Cold rolled looks like you could drive right thru it and needs a bunch of 45s at the ceiling to support

I am asking for the same shell and openings from all vendors...and I want a clear span so the cold rolled on a 40 foot seems like it would be flimsy or need a bunch of gussets...14 foot wall height so I can stack cars in the corner

Any thoughts on olympia Steel? ?Im looking for a 40x60x14 and am getting quotes...was going for red iron as it seems to be more rugged and I am building in RI.
