I nice story and a good ending. I've probably been to over 500 Estate Sales. In my area (Buffalo,NY) a sign up sheet is usually put on the outer door. Buyers are admitted according to their place on the list.

Hi all, I have a very small Craftsman adjustable wrench. Measures about 2.5". It has a stamping on one side of the handle: "CRAFTSMAN SPECIAL EDITION" (Yes, all caps.) On the head is: 40157. It does not have a country of manufacture stamp. It pretty good quality. Anyone know anything...
