Hi all,
I have a very small Craftsman adjustable wrench. Measures about 2.5". It has a stamping on one side of the handle: "CRAFTSMAN SPECIAL EDITION" (Yes, all caps.) On the head is: 40157.
It does not have a country of manufacture stamp. It pretty good quality.
Anyone know anything about this wrench?

It looks like the junk they have at the cash register POS to entice you into spending a little extra money upon checkout.

Makes a neat key fob and tells your date you might be pretty handy;)

Hi mrvm! Thanks for suggestion. But, as we just celebrated our 48th Anniversary I don't think that would impress my wife.

You photo tugs at the strings of my heart.

Lx460: You could be right. But its still cute.

I don't know about one that size, but I carry a 4'' on my key chain and in my right pants pocket at work. One of the most handy tools I own. Whenever I see one at the local flea market, I ****** it up. I lose 1-2 per year and want to keep a regular supply. For some reason, I can find 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch American made crescent wrenches at the flea market left and right, but the 4'' are rare.

Speaking of small adjustables....

I just ran across this one in one of my dads old boxes I was digging in this morning. Tiny little 4" Crescent. I'd guess its probably 40+ years old but no idea for certain. Awesome little wrench. :)

Is it just me or anyone else bothered by the few in that jewelry pic that are on the chain backwards? :lol_hitti

My Uncle originally had one of these, and he gave it to my Mother who carried it around for many years. I would love to find one of these guys!
