Have a puzzle here. I am still a novice when it comes to floor jack rebuilding. Not my first rebuild (I've done a few), but not an expert by any means. I recently bought a few used jacks as a bundle mostly because one of the jacks was a vintage Hein-Werner O'Boy in really great shape, that I...
That makes sense. Thank you. Now just have to figure out which plastic/rubber washer or seal for the end. Do the 3 leather cup washers provide all of the seal? ie the plastic washer just holds them in place? if so, then I know which plastic piece to cap them off with.
Okay. Finally got a rebuild kit for my Lincoln J-134 95657. I know the kit covers many models and therefore all of the seals won't necessarily be used, and most of my seals ARE indeed here. However, the diagram that came with the kit and the utube videos that show the rebuild process all show...
That's what i figured. Despite the individual paths being small, my understanding is that the multitude of smaller parallel paths allow for better flow and at the same time more cooling surface (i.e. contact with the metal channel walls). The parallel design was instituted to replace the...
My compressor has 1/2 inch tubing from compressor head to tank. The inlet size of the various condensers is all over the map, but most are 1/4 inch I believe. However, the parallel tubes are much, much smaller. My question was...not knowing the sum total cross sectional area of the many flat...
I am building an aftercooler just as you are. I too am puzzled on what choice of condenser to use. i.e. serpentine vs. parallel design. Or, maybe an oil or transmission cooler.
The a/c condensers are designed for higher pressure, so I think that that is where I am headed, cheaper too, but...
Hi all. I am a new member of this great site. I registered so that i could join in the fun and hopefully learn something. I enjoyed reading about the vintage garage restoration here as well as other projects others have delved into. I am fairly mechanical and have restored quite a bit of old...
