Reinstalled this cabinet door after my son had a seizure. Drug resistant epilepsy is a ***** especially around the full moon.
Got a fresh bottle wood glue and to use those Vessel full screw drivers from HJE.
Last May picked up an early to mids 70s Craftman work bench at an estate sale.
It was a last day of the sale half price impulse grab as the drawers didn't fit right.
Being a GJ member I assumed it'd be an easy fix. I removed the drawers to load it up but it started raining so my help left but...
Got this for the really high price of free.
Used Evaporust and a wire wheel to get this...
Was bit older than I thought with 1942 patent pending stamping on the handle.
Did this more for the idea to see if I could clean it up.
This was so rusty when I got it yesterday only the Sn...was readable. Thinking the date code is a 6 so 1936? Was supposed to the sellers Grandfather's tools.
Last night stopped work before all my tools and parts disappeared. Was trying to sort why the fuel pump isn't working on my 91 Z28...I've replaced the fuel pump previously. Not fun as not only does the tank need to come out so does the panhard bar and muffler.
Got the socket for my son cleaned up and spent some time on the dbe and pliers. The pliers the pivot is worn so I used a vise and small socket to tighten it up. Now the jaws are out alignment by 1/8" instead of 1/4".
Yesterday was play with the ultrasonic cleaner and Evaporust. Found a socket that Im sending to my son since he needs an SAE set but wont buy one...he gets the scrubs from estate sales. Have a near complete set of SK one that someone lost their ratchet so they used a monkey wrench. Possibly at...
This weekend reminded me I'm not in my 20s,30s,40s or 50s anymore. Friday was gather parts and supplies for oil change, lubricate chassis, and change pads and rotor my wife's truck.
Then mow the lawn in 98+ heat and extreme humidity.
Saturday change oil and test drive...all goes well. The...
Built the 3/8" Tekton anvil and gear upgrade to a clearance Icon G1 1/4" ratchet.
Built for my wife's truck number one cylinder and the upgraded tool worked great.
Install the catch can on my wife's truck a GM 5.3 with the dreaded AFM system. Getting the number cylinder fouled and miss firing.
Runs sane as before with new catch can...but the ratchet I using was a bit noisy.
Broke it down and it was dry as expected. Cleaned with carb cleaner and lubed...
Glamor shot of the Barcalo slip joint pliers N-505. Now I guess I need to stop by and get a belt holster for them. One Jori's videos said they have them.
Got a call at 10 am....wife's truck wont start. Leave and drive home. The battery has ok voltage but no charge so I put on fast charge. Take my son to his day services and come back to a complete fast charge.
Truck starts up and wife goes work. I work from and get a text at 3 truck dead again...
