I went and picked it up today definitely smooth. The easy to clean was my thought too. According to bendpak its still considered non skid but i dont see how.

I misunderstood when you said ramps wasn't thinking of runways. I get what your saying now but does that get in the way when width of cars that would use it most is 60" & 69" track width. Would wider track get in the way when its jacked up and you have to lean in to work on things. Just trying...
