New "Man-cave" build in Norfolk, MA 30x40 garage with office

Looks great Pete! I like the transom windows over the doors, great idea;) They're nice this time of year with the low sun angle, they really let the light in. Got doors yet? Look at the Garaga doors, well insulated, heavy duty track. Keep up the good work, it's coming along really nicely and...

    liftmaster 3800

They had the best price I could find. I bought three, essentially the third was free. My door installer said that was less than he could buy them for. Great openers, you'll love them!

How to black out your garage windows to keep people from looking in?

Yup, they've got a lot of different patterns. I used the frosted. Looks great, lets plenty of light in. It's in the aisle where they sell window blinds.

Help a Dummy Do Some Framing: The Bull Project

That is exactly what I meant. Great job! Remember, framing doesn't have to be pretty... "Cover it up quick" we always say! I would take Kevin54's advice and add a 2 x4 to the sides and top of your door opening. Easier to nail on trim and attach hinges, plus gets you away from the roof, like he said.

Layout your studs on the bottom plate, then use a level to mark the top plate on the uphill side. So when you measure you're measuring to the long point of the cut. Nail the...

    Porter Cable Multi-Tool

Thanks for the reply Stuey. I use a Fein almost every day and the blade release on that is very stiff.

Show off your largest drill bit!

I've been looking for some big drill bits to go with my big taps. :) [/IMG] The bigger one is 3 1/4" The bolt is 2" and takes a 3 1/8" wrench.

    Porter Cable Multi-Tool

I have a question on the Porter Cable. Are you able to orient the blade in any direction. IE; left & right or only straight ahead.

Screws or Nails for Interior Walls of Garage?

I'd go with the finish gun for a cleaner look. If you want to screw, look for finish screws for cabinets. They have a small head and install with a #1 sq head bit.
