    concrete slab no rebar?

I have a 40' x 80' shop floor that I poured over 20 years ago with fiber only. No cracks at all and I've had excavators and cats and lots of loaded semi's on it. It's 7 inches deep in the middle and slopes up to 4" about 2 feet from the wall. At he time, the cost was about the same as rebar, but...

    Suggestion

I use tapered reamers all the time on truck frames to enlarge holes from 1/2 to 5/8. I don't know why you couldn't use one to go 3/4". I like my old slow electric drill with a handle for this - but you have to hang on for sure.

    Another anvil stand

Thanks all for the kind words. I've been away and just now logged on. The wooden block height is 24". That plus the anvil height puts it at my knuckles. Another anvil stand

This is an anvil stand I made for my son's birthday for his Peter Wright anvil. Nothing fancy, but I like the medieval look.

Heavy duty rolling welding/fab table build

    Welding Table for Christmas

Thanks for the nice comments. I think he'll really be surprised. Yeah, how to put it under the tree is a problem. Actually how to get it in his shop with out him knowing is a problem. We have fresh snow so the tracks will make it even harder.

    Welding Table for Christmas

Thanks. I thought about the receiver tube vise, but in the end I use the vise as often as anything else so I left it on there.

    Welding Table for Christmas

My son built me a welding table in High School shop class. After 15 years he has a shop so I built him one. Nothing fancy, but his design has worked well for me.
