Delta Rockwell Jointer and Drill Press

If you don't find a part number, measure the bearings dimensions. I'm sure you will find what you need. Ebay is a good source. I hate to say it but the Chinese ebay bearing vendors have pretty much every size imaginable. I try to buy North American when possible, but in the past I've found...

Delta Rockwell Jointer and Drill Press

The wobble is most likely the bearings, at least that was the problem with my pre restoration Buffalo 15. After I replaced the bearings it ran true. If you replace the bearings, use a bearing puller, makes life easy.

    USA Made Drill presses?

Here's my Buffallo #15. Made at Canadian Blower & Forge, here in Kitchener, Ontario. I bought it from a machine shop that was closing. The drill press was used to make parts for Canadian Blower & Forge, who made Buffallo drill presses. My Buffallo made Buffallo's . Listed in the...

    Metal Shear Modification

PC06.. cool mod! The new Princess Auto flier has the 12" shear on sale next week. I 'll be picking one up for sure. I have the 6" model, love it, but I could really use a bigger one. More tools the merrier. I might steal this modification.

how do you work on tall trucks

X2. All the pinstriping from tree branches and trail rash/ dents don't really bother me at all. Each scratch and dent has a story. The running joke in our club is, every time someone acquires a new dent or gouge, someone usually says "ah, that'll buff out!" :badteeth:

how do you work on tall trucks

My lifted Tacoma really only sees a pressure washer and mop brush at a DIY wash bay. It's a daily driver/offroad trail truck, so there isn't any real bling to detail. Being lifted is great, makes wrenching and welding easier, more head room when you crawl underneath. I either stand on the back...

'Your career' thread----separate pages for each?

I resemble that x 20 years. Just been diagnosed with spinal nerve damage, repetitive stress injury, no comp, now I'm faced with reinventing myself :dunno:. listen to your body, don't ignore pain. My 2 cents.

    Firehouse - For Sale!

OMG! I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. It also proves to me real estate prices in my city here in Ont. are insane. I need a drink. Good luck with the sale.

How old is 'too old' for career change?

That goes without saying. Every business owner echos this statement. Nothing wrong with TV showcasing business, the shows you speak of are another form of reality TV, it's staged drama in real businesses. It's entertainment, not a business plan. My buddy started a business refinishing...

How old is 'too old' for career change?

I'm in the middle of a career change as well. I'm 43. Spent the last 20 years as an autoworker. When 2008 hit, manufacturing took a big hit here in Ontario. I'm tired of manufacturing jobs. It seems layoff is just around the corner. If you land a job its usually contract for 3-5 years before...

Copper work bench - protective coatings?

I keep my copper clean from tarnish with a half a lime sprinkled with salt, wait for salt to dissolve, rub lime on copper, wipe clean. There are special clear coatings designed for copper, but they do not old up to high heat.
